The event was great. Many people, myself included, enjoy the more labor intensive fight than an AIM120 jousting match. The Cold War set up is a good start and the Korean war brings it back a step further. In the future historically accurate planes can be added as they are introduced (F4U/La7) etc. If someone ever gets around to an F9F Panther, the F84 Thunder Jet, Yak9, IL10, AD4 Skyraider, etc it would be awesome. I'm actually shocked that no one has developed a Korean peninsula map. Korea functions really when for dynamic campaigns because of its limited linear nature.

@@Enigma89 I have played it before. It had some bugs with AI being more like artificial stupidity, and the .50 cals sometimes felt like throwing nerf darts, but was good fun.

I missed this one due to a peripherals breakdown, but it looked super fun. Would love to see another plus a full-on WW2 event. Something like PVO only with B-17's being escorted.

I absolutely love this for an event! Unfortunately I could get on to play this time around. Please do it again! Korea is my favourite era for air to air, I love the dichotomy of fast jets but only having guns. It is so underrepresented.

mig-15 and saber are great planes to flight. They are pure dogfighters, no any fancy stuff, no radar or something like this. Light, aerodynamically great for dogfight. There is only you, your guns, adversary and skill.

I played a combat flight sim called "Mig Alley" a long time ago and that's the only Korean War Era game I can think of

This was 25~ish years ago, but I believe it had a dynamic campaign and multiple types of airframes to choose from. You were mostly F86 pilots doing MIGCAP and/or bomber+CAS escort. I think it's officially abandonware and the source has been released but I'm not sure on that part.

There was a “sim” for mobile called gunship 3 and they had a Korean War game. Not very elegant but pretty fun when I was younger

I find the mig15's cannons to be super difficult to aim. Not to mention the damage they inflict seems minor compared to more modern modules.

im glad the ground campaign being bugged for this event didnt stop the majority of the playerbase from having fun. it looks like they didnt even notice!

Are there a lot of these types of servers on DCS? I would only be interested in DCS for the Korean War jet on jet with guns dogfights...such a unique time period for aerial combat. I fly IL2 and have never downloaded DCS but would do so if this is common

Man I really wish there were more servers with Enigma's multiplayer gameplay with different historical eras. There was a greyflag server a while ago with more modern planes mostly f14s vs Mirage 2000s. Then for some reason they put the 16 and 18 on team blue and now the server is dead because it's so lopsided.

It's to hard in vr because everybody uses EWR by the time the smudge is big enough to IFF you get killed

also Rob, I have used Track Ir for twenty years . Never realised (Until VR) what an unrealistic Advantage it is . Exorcist Neck turns can See left and Right of the rudder !

The idea of he sever is great but the EWR turns it into a fur ball server and for us with vaseline cover eye glasses it's not playable without dot labels, I mean I get it but give us a chance with five mile dots for gods sake😂

the mig-15 has a such a power advantage on the sabre at the altitudes these games are played unfortunately.

The Sabre has a quicker roll rate and faster in a dive. I was wondering why the 3 he dragged low didn't boom and zoom. They had the initial advantage but gave it away.

@@DanBlake3rd not talking about this fight specifically but in general. Also in DCS its easier for spottin to fly low and spot high than the opposite. making Boom zoom more difficult.

I didn't participate in this event, so this is just conjecture, but based on my experience with prior ECW special events I'm sure bluefor also had 1-2 guys doing CGI as well. That said, yea there were a few times where I thought he was Goose sitting in the back seat.
