Well, that's the only way to learn if something will work for you...try it. Roof storage has never worked out for me.... I'm 5 feet short... hobbit size...lol. Even though you’re transitioning away from the cargo bag, I hope you’ll do an episode on it. Not sure I I want a hard sided carrier, so I might be interested in a bag. You look so happy & perfect in your PMC camper!

I will talk about the cargo bag in my van tour video. it really is a good item, it's just the configuration of my roof rack system that doesn't work well with it. my roof rack is not adjustable and has no side rails so I had to makeshift a set up. so I'll need to have some roof rack adjustments when I get back home. until then, the bag is a pain in the butt, but the work I did yesterday to get it sorted has made things MUCH better. it's a good item, for sure.

Good Monday to ya! I understand about the cargo bag issues bc I too had one on my minivan build. I loved the available space . I ended up storing a case of tp., paper towels and other supplies like that in the center( harder to reach area) but on the sides I bought small (8x10?) totes or plastic crates and turned them on their side on each side right inside the zipper area. Several fit in a row. This allowed me quicker access and they were contained better. 😊 Hope it goes well for you today!

Don’t remember if your door step thing was in the van tour, but if you ever get a chance to see a Little Giant Step Stool with the hand rail thingie, you might like it. It takes up some long narrow space, but it seems like it can do multiple stuff like be a seat, prop something up and get you safe access to the top of your van. I don’t bounce as well when I fall and bet you don’t either.

I've been to the water management area before, this exact same one. it's a cozy little area, and it's an equestrian area so there are horses everywhere, it's quite lovely, and the price is right!!!

Thank you for the information on the rooftop carrier. Had not even thought about how the zippered opening would affect the use. A soft one seemed more appealing because of the flexibility. Kind of like a collapsable bowl; small when it could yet larger when needed. But I don't see myself perched on a ladder or stool wrestling with a zipper either. So that saved me some moola.

in the warm weather, the zipper is not a struggle. when the sun heats up that fabric, it's soft and pliable and easy to handle and work with. in the cold, OMG it's awful, it's stiff and the zipper can barely move. for now, I'm in warm weather and I'm not struggling with it. in my van tour, I will show the little step-upper I use to get access to the roof storage, it's pretty nifty!! stay tuned!!

it wasn't stuck it was frozen! LOL. even all the fabric was frozen stiff, like it was going to crack. but now that I'm where it's warm, the zipper is easy and the fabric is pliable. it's all good!!
