Could convince a friend to finally go to the doctor after coughing for weeks. She had Covid-19 sometime before and recovered quickly, but the cough came back and just wouldn't go away. When she finally went to see a doctor he was really mad that she didn't come in earlier. Turned out she had Streptococcal pneumonia. Her respiratory tract had taken severe damage, and what could have been an easy recovery took weeks to heal (if it will ever completely). Moral of the story: Take care of yourself, go see a doctor. Even if you might take a hit financially. Coughs that last for weeks are not normal.

i only actively keep up with 1 vtuber so i knew millie had been sick but didn't realize she was still struggling so much :(( i really hope she isn't having the same experience i've had with developing me/cfs after a viral infection. if it is, she really needs to be resting as much as possible because repeatedly pushing yourself past your limits with me/cfs can do serious damage... it's like suddenly getting your stamina bar cut to 25% and every time you overexert yourself you risk permanently shrinking your stamina even further. a lot of ppl don't take it seriously when they start getting sick and push themselves until eventually they end up housebound or bedbound. it's a really frustrating condition because you really can't do anything when you need to rest, you just have to lay in bed without even listening to music or watching tv. i went to anime impulse for maybe 4 hours on sunday & had to spend most of the past 2 days in bed to recover.

I think the best thing to do is for her to take an extended leave, go to another country with fresher air like New Zealand and slowly walk around and exercise. Go to the doctors for regular check up and sleep for a little more than 8 hours

It does seem like she's constantly pushing herself really hard, to the point that she's always sick. I hope she gets to recover properly and feels better soon. I know similar people who mercilessly flog themselves to work more like that, and it's really frustrating and painful to see. You want the best for them and you try to convince them to rest, but they just can't. They constantly make excuses to work and keep disappearing to work because they feel compelled to do more. It's not even a boss pushing them or anything, but it's them themselves who can't stop going "oh, I need to do this. Then I need to do this. Oh, and I thought of something else that means I need to add these three things to my plate even though I don't have the time or energy for any of them." It sucks because you see the toll it's taking on their bodies, but they seem unable to stop. And if you press the issue, they just get mad at you eventually.

That's the problem. It's always the tough people that don't get the help they need, because people around them keep saying that... My family says that to me all the time, and it makes to so hard to tell them I'm falling apart. Also, I know people that are like Millie, they will keep saying that they're fine when they are sick and keep working, and end up wrecking their bodies. You absolutely do not want to see it. We need to support her, but we also need to help take care if her, as her fans.
