The soundtrack takes me to a state, where I could enjoy the pain. The mighty Morricone is irreplaceable.

Oh this makes me cry. I didn't realise I was so affected by the film!

Sapphonouveau I know right? It just has this heartbreaking nostalgia to it. I think about my friends who were around around the time I saw this movie, the fact that they've moved on, that I've moved on. That time is gone forever.

RIP Linda Manz, her performance in this film is my favourite child performance of all time. Just an utterly beautiful film all round.

During my shoulder repair surgery, i was incredibly nervous since i never was cut into by doctors before like this. I was put to sleep just before they started. My mind was fuzzy, but it took me to a place of endless wheat fields with the sun setting in a purple sky. I heard this music too. It was the most sublime, peaceful dream i ever had. Its like my mind was letting me know "its all going to be ok, just rest" And sure enough, the surgery was a sucess and soon i'll be out of my sling for the final time

Morricone arranged this wonderful piece of music based on the aquarium-theme of Camille Saint-Saens. Wonderful film (days of heaven), Wonderful composer (Saint-Saens) & Wonderful arrangement (Morricone)

I can't decide whether this or Once Upon a time in the West is Ennio Morricone's best OST.

Wonderful composer. This perfectly matches the mood and era in which the film took place.

More than based on Saint Saens' Aquarium, I'd say this is a Fantasy on a theme by Saint Saens, by Morricone.

Does anyone know if Ennio has ever performed this, or any other track from Days of Heaven live in concert? I found so many youtube videos of Ennio in concert but none of them contain his work from this film.
@ajpdeschenes8 жыл бұрын
+Fan Made Videos --- This one was played by The City of Prague Philarmonic Orchestra in a tribute to Ennio Morricone. You can find it on iTunes... not sure though if they played it live.

This composition is very similar to the one made by Camille Saint Saens - Aquarium. Did Morricone use some of his ideas?
@filmfanman6514 жыл бұрын
the sunsets in the film definitely look like Canadian Sunsets(where Days of Heaven was shot at, in Toronto) not so much a Southwest Texas Sunset...BUT IT'S STILL BEAUTIFUL!!!
