The funny part about this is that when Eastwood was cast for "A fistful of dollars", he did not speak Italian, and Sergio Leone did not speak English. I imagine that he picked up the language mainly while shooting the 3 iconic westerns ("A fistful of dollars", "For a few dollars more", and "the good, the bad and the ugly"), and continually improved it from there.

My father and I watched "Two Mules for Sister Sarah" today, my father is an old man to be a father and since I was young my father introduced me to all the bang bang spaghetti films that he knows and love, and most of them Ennio was present with his fantastic soundtrack. Ennio is my favorite composer since I was 14, today I am 24 and my father 76, thank God for being my father's son. RIP Ennio the best composer of 20th/21st century and the favorite of my bloodline.

Adiós MAESTRO MORRICONE. A veces se piensa que un Oscar honorífico es un premio consuelo, pero si lo vemos con una visión más amplia es un gran premio pues es un reconocimiento general. Qué bueno que años después hicieron justicia entregándole el Oscar que merecía hace tiempo.

Toute l'émotion qu'il témoigne à cet instant au bord des larmes , il a su la traduire en musique au fil de sa longue carrière, et quelle musique !... Le destin a voulu que ce soit Eastwood qui lui remet l'oscar en digne héritier de Sergio Leone. Par une nuit d'été le Maestro Ennio Morricone s'en est allé... au cinéma paradiso certainement... Dans un siècle on l'ecoutera toujours, comme du Mozart, c'est peut-être ça l'immortalité...
