I went with the 98” QM7 and picked up a complete Sonos theater setup. I spent a lot of time researching 98/100 tvs and think the QM7 was my best bang for the buck.

Even if money was no object, I'm pretty sure I'd still take the 100" Hisense U8. That's an absolutely amazing TV for $3000, normally $5000. Runner up is the 98" TCL QM7, a 98" mini LED for only $2000 is crazy.

So what do you guys do with all the tv's you guys are trying out?
@drustill10 сағат бұрын
I worked in marketing for a tech company for over a decade, so I can help out. These drvifes are generally referred to as “seed” or “marketing” units-earmarked for distribution to a variety of channels in order to facilitate marketing & promotional activity such as, you guessed it, their KZbin reviews. Naturally, given their over quarter million subscriber base and generally positive engagement scores (I work in social media marketing now, go figure), vendors, HiSense in this case, will prioritize these heavy hitters and ensure they are given units early enough to produce content in a timely fashion (not an urgently for TVs, which are high ticket items that are usually shopped around and not front-loaded from a sales perspective with big launch day buzz i.e. the good ol days (depending who you’re asking) of iPhone launches, with folks camping out outside their fave Apple stores. That all said, in rare instances, these devices can be gifted to certain individuals, but generally speaking they are primarily leveraged for these activities and HiSense would manage the unit contractual agreements (fulfillment, marketing output, key dates etc.) and the logistics to ship to the various parties. Sooooo… TLDR: in most cases, they are sent to them for the purposes of creating content, as per agreements with HiSense, then shipped back to them for potential redistribution to other outlets and/or facilitate addition marketing/promo campaigns and activities.

There's also the QNED89T 98" from LG that is similar in price and features. I should be taking delivery of the 86" version QNED90T from costco today for a high use bright room application.

Typically, I go for mid range when it comes to my electronics so I would probably go for one of the 98 inch TVs in the $2500 range.

From what I’ve heard the TV is leaning back because when people use the stand, it’s below their line of sight. So it’s leaning back to give them a more straight view of it.

Admittedly typing this as I’m starting the video, so forgive me if this is answered. Has Hisense said anything about availability for these? They’ve been Out Of Stock or Sold Out on BB since they were first listed over a month ago. I actually went into a Magnolia BB two weeks ago and had a special invoice made up ordering one to see if that would help get it to me. As of yesterday, the gentleman said they are still trying to locate one. What gives Hisense? Here we are 10 months past the CES unveiling, and a week before Black Friday and there’s no inventory? Make it make sense.

So I was interested in buying this TV but wasn't available anywhere. I decided on the Samsung 98" Q80C. What's your thoughts on that. The guy at Best Buy said I could switch it out for the 98UX if it became available before January. Wondering if you've reviewed the 98 Q80C and how it compared to the 98UX.

Honestly, QNED tvs aren't my faves... at least compared to similarly priced led alts.. this is up there in quality with the QN90D, and better than x90l and qm8. So really it might be the best 98" we have had in house. I wouldn't expect the qned to knock my socks off

Picked up the 115” TCL this week as it went on sale for $17K. 15% discount isn’t great - but we are about to see up to a 60% tariff against China hit. So we are potentially down to the wire on great prices for big TV’s. Tariff’s likely extend to other Asian countries that refuse to also tariff China. Inflation is about to go wild. Will just watch it all go down from my nice 115” monster.
