The game is pretty solid overall, I'll give you that, it has some amazing parts, but some core fundementals are flawed (such as parrying being inconsistent jank) and that is NOT a trait a 9/10 game has.

It’s your opinion… Enotria is not perfect but for an Indie or an A game sold for 49 at day one, I actually enjoyed the game and for me they deserve a 7… All those trash comments are not justified, the game has some flaws ok, but it is fun to play and for me this is a huge pros… Lords of the fallen at day one ( sold for 70€), was unplayable, unbalanced, boring cause you can’t change build and crazy in the progression route…. And they gave it a 7,50… Thymesia had a 7…. So you just hating on a game giving it a 6

No way… Lies of P is a 8,3 at maximum… Enotria is a 7… Lies of P had a budget enormous compared to the small Italian team, yet Enotria shows his hearth and it’s fun to play… You all way to harsh towards an indie/A game sold for 49 at day one…. That’s not fair, i think they deserve some trust, cause they put a lot of work in that game even if it has flaws and some imperfections…. But it is way better than Mortal Shell or Thymesia imo and they were ranked 7/7,5…. So no way Enotria is just a 6

Yeah, sure. It's own thing. If it's thing was being a soulslike. The most memorable experience about it is how frustrating some of its mechanics and bosses are. It literally doesn't do anything all that different to any other soulslike any more than, say, Enotria introduces mask-and-aspect based classes switchable on the fly or switches up statuses to give both positive and negative effects. Both games are souls-adjacent, Lies of P generally has better combat but it also has some glaring flaws, you people really and I mean REALLY need to stop putting it on a pedestal, and this is coming from someone who has played pretty much every soulslike in existence.

I had a similar experience, i played lies of p in January so after the nerfs but i relied mostly on dodging with parrying when i felt appropriate , there are still a few bosses that killed me a dozen times but you can defintely finish the game with mostly dodging

This is sort of what I figured. Not really fair to judge the game on difficulty when you're only halfway through. All of the game's notoriously difficult bosses come in the latter half. A couple of the bosses are the most difficult bosses of any Souls games I played prior to Elden ring DLC. But ya, pre-nerfs.​@@Hitman89plays

I think Lies is a solid 9.5. I hated the fact that once you get rid of a weapon part it is gone but it is realistic. I don't like Souls games and Lies of P not being as brutal was extremely fun.

More like a 7.5 that fanboys keep propping up despite its absolutely horrendous parry, tryhard bosses with basically unfair moves (swamp thing and psycho sword lady near the end - and yes I beat them both, it doesn't change the fact they are both bullshit) and absolutely horrific textures that make it look incredibly dated. It's the best soulslike we've had recently but it's a very far cry from Nioh or DS/Elden Ring and further still from Sekiro and Bloodborne.

@@nexarath Horrendous parry, why, because it is different from Sekiro parry?LoP parry is very good, precise and consistent. It mixes up traditional dodge and roll gameplay with parry gameplay, in a way no soulslike comes close. It has consistently good bosses, much more consistent than Bloodborne and probably every FS game apart from Sekiro. Unfair boss mechs?, well play Elden Ring DLC then...Sadly gamers like you who has skill issues in LoP can not grasp the greatness that is LoP. The dev patched LoP afer a week and kinda butchered the game. I am glad I beat the last boss the evening before the patch rolled out. All arguments I heard against the game are flawed or are easily apllied to all FS games. Only the linear part I agree with, but then, Bloodborne and Sekiro are quite linear as well, and it still has better level design than 80 percent of all other games.

Lies of P is in an entirely different ball game, on a level Enotria can’t reach…don’t understand this comparison really Opinions are what they are, obv & I won’t deny that Enotria is unique in its own way For me they just don’t compare. Enotria has an intriguing aesthetic, the game world/environment is beautiful & rich. The mechanic of putting on a mask to make the player character have different strengths/styles is clever idea The movement, combat & player character/enemies/NPC’s broke immersion for me rather quickly though. It’s not that it’s “clunky”, it flows more smooth than to say that. But, it does feel unnatural. As if they were created on an older gen console/pc & thrown into a newer game. To each their own as always, but Lies of P is way too far ahead for this comparison imo

I played the Enotria demo on PS 5 and it was not a good representation of the game. having said that and have not played Enotria. Lies of P is one of my favorite games so I am biased I say Lies crushes it.

Just beat lies of p today and first off it’s an 8/10 game and second it beats entotria by a landslide. Now I can only judge by the demo but the positives I could give it were the style was nice, mechanics were good, and the costume changing was interesting. The negatives being the enemies aren’t memorable and the biggest one for me is no matter what weapon I used it always felt like I was using a heavy weapon with how slow the swinging was. Again they might’ve fixed it but for me it’s not worth the 50 bucks and probably won’t get it unless something big happens

Weird, I have a 4080 and a 5800X and I only occasionally get those drops from 60 to 58 for a second. Playing maxed out at 4k with dlss set to Quality and no frame generation. Try reinstalling your gpu driver so the game precompiles the shaders again?

Repeatedly, both games have demonstrated that Asian developers are significantly more adept and meticulous at game production than their European counterparts. This is particularly evident when both regions adapt a game based on Italian folklore. Ironically, the European developer, hailing from the very nation that should showcase this heritage, fails to deliver a polished, bug-free game that honors and respects their own culture. It's a pity; the game had immense potential that could have been realized with just a few more months of polishing and fine-tuning. Adding to the irony, they initially planned to release it last June but postponed due to the launch of (The Shadow of Erdtree). It's baffling to think they believed they could compete with such a title; such a move would have surely tarnished their reputation and led to financial ruin!

Yeah enotria is overhated , i think it's much much better than mortal shell and thymesia . The environments, graphics and exploration are genuinely great , gameplay is okay but has balancing issues , it's not on the level of lies of p but is a good experience overall

I never said it was bad, it's just that they knew it wasn't ready for release, yet they still released it in this state and released a 6-month roadmap. It could've easily been a 7 or an 8 day one... I still really like it despite the severe lack of polish.

Those who think Lies of P is good are losers who have been conned. It's completely scripted and linear. Want to attack an enemy or a boss the way that you want ?? Nope, the scripted coding says you can only do it a certain way in a certain hit window at a certain timing window. All these souls fanboys think it's OK to play a memory game learning the bosses move. It's lazy game designing. In good games you can take out the boss first go if you're good enough. And check out how long to takes just to pick up loot. WTF ?? The i-frames are just mini loading screens. The small stamina resources are a cheats way to make it difficult. The devs couldn't even design several difficulty settings like AAA games do ?! It's not worth the money for the short playing time, and there's no real replayability. The enemies are always in the same spot.

LOP bosses are designed for 1on 1. It's up to you to use summons, but it seems a bit off using the summons and discussing the difficulty. I've beaten both the initial and nerfed versions, but it's impossible to beat all the bosses in LOP without dying more than twice even if you're Ongbal.

Let's see: Enotria definitely has a far more beautiful world and some pretty cool ideas here and there, with a couple of really fun bosses. Lies of P has the worst textures ever in a soulslike which makes it look like a 10-year old game and it also has some insanely frustrating and poorly designed bosses and a terrible parry system. Other than that, pretty much everything else is better in Lies of P, from general gameplay to story. I'd say a 6/10 and a 7.5 out of 10, overall. Both worth checking out, Lies of P definitely better, but also definitely HEAVILY overrated by the fanboys.
