As someone who's been looking for lazy crazy overdrive/distortion (looking at you Darkglass), that Ages sounds awesome.

I´d be awesome and greatly appreciated if you guys could do an in-depth video of each pedal

I just wish the EoNS had a Blend or Dry knob, just like the other pedals.
@CEMeier9 ай бұрын
I came here to comment that. It should be legally required for fuzz effects to be able to blend with the dry signal.

I was going to comment the same thing, but after hearing the sounds produced with that pedal I may have to reconsider. It sounds pretty awesome, and there is no lack of bottom end.

Why does the player not play the same note sequence (perhaps just a bar) on each setting per each device? You can’t really compare devices unless you hear the same musical phrase. Or am I wrong somehow?
@Facu_Roldan Жыл бұрын
I agree. Not only playing the same, but also using the same bass so the only variable is the pedals.

I don’t think this is an A/B/C comparison. They’re different pedals and have pretty different sounds and vibes. No reason to necessarily make a direct comparison. Still if you need some sort of comparison the last minute of the video It’s probably more than enough

As someone who plays guitar and bass i always forget to try my guitar pedals out on bass. 😂. I love bass, but i usually just use a compressor and chorus when it comes to effects. I need to try out some other pedals i already own with bass. I would love to hear these dirt pedals in a parallel path on bass to retain that low end.
@TheBassChannel Жыл бұрын
2/3 of these have dry blends so a separate parallel path not needed. The fuzz pushes a lot of low end even without a blend so it shouldn’t need it either.

I don’t know how you record or mix but the bass sounds in your videos are mostly blurry, muffled and sloppy; I don’t know if it’s the playing or what. It’s very disappointing. There are not many bass centric channels; and yours has lots of demos, which is great… I don’t know if it’s the fingers only; the no treble, or the layering blend knobs… sometimes it even sounds like there’s no amp or cabinet. 😢

What an uncalled for and nasty comment. I've been making records for decades, and, his sounds are great!

Those bass pedals sounds all the same or even worst since the 90's.

I don’t think they’re meant to be played with a bass honestly….

@@augustoboido Blend/dry knob = bass-friendly, unless you are EHX and hate anything below open A. But why does the Eons not have a blend knob? That would be much more useful than a voltage knob that would end up being set & forget, and handled by an internal trimpot.

Strongly disagree: the Ages and Eras are fantastic on bass, especially with that wet/dry knob. I'm not a fan of the Aeons as much, but, I'm not much of a fuzz guy. To me, the former two are really nice for adding a bit of extra hair to a clean bass sound, helping the bass cut into the mix a bit more and potentially blend with the guitars.
