Purity is rare. I'm not talking about perfection. We are all flawed human beings, and Steve was no different. But one can be pure in the sense of being completely truthful, with no veneers, no facade, no manipulation-just full on real. That is who Steve was-pure! He was a beautiful human being and left behind an incredible legacy with his family. I'm so thankful Terri, Bindi, Robert and Chandler are carrying on his passion and teaching sweet Grace Warrior to love and respect our wildlife and Mother Earth. Rest in peace, Steve. And blessings to your wonderful family.

One of the best comments I've ever read of this legend, thanks for that... The ending of a book/movie/life is incredibly overrated, sure it's part of it but... Life is a dance and the "dash" on a tombstone representing All the successes, failures, rains, shines, and everything that we interacted with and loved, is beyond a cruel joke of existence. Life is about living, and reminiscing a legend is about appreciating what they made us realize &/or feel

Steve was intelligent, quick witted and amazingly self aware. He knew some people thought he was a little over the top, but he realized that was the best way to get his message across because David Attenborough has the same message but is boring and has lower ratings, although he is still alive at 95. I also like Steve’s idea of buying animal habitat which is why I support the Nature Conservancy in the UU. and globally.

The man was so present. You could look at the man and know he was 100% in the moment where ever he was. You didn't see him moaning about the past or just hoping for some day in the future. He was just right there with all his soul and energy. And he knew as long as he was who he was that the future would just take care of itself. He's just being his genuine, honest to goodness self and people can't help but watch him, just sitting down having a quiet conversation is so captivating, he exudes wide-eyed optimism and youthful exuberance, it's really a sight to behold lol people are laughing at his expressions when he's being completely serious, what a guy. In all my 40 something plus years, (lol) I've seen a few celebrities, famous people, and, "childhood heroes," come and go. Some well before their time, and many well too young for anybody to die. But NONE of them have affected me as deeply as when I heard that Steve Irwin was gone, I was about as devastated as anyone who didn't know him personally could be. Even though anybody could see something happening a mile away, with how close to wildlife he was literally every day, of course I wasn't surprised but it REALLY shook me to my core all the same. The entire WORLD lost significantly the day Steve Irwin died. 🙏
