It won't. FF8 wasn't popular enough; it wasn't even popular enough to get a Switch port alongside FF7/9/10. A shame, because it's the clear favorite of the PS1 era for me, even if it was ridiculously easy. (Although the fanmade "FF8 Requiem" mod does an excellent job at bringing the difficulty up. Maybe TOO good. I definitely wouldn't throw it at someone who's not already very familiar with the game, though as an experienced player of FF8 and a challenge run lover on FFX, I found it amazing.)

Best one of all IMO. And while this remake is very good I legit don't think any cover beats the original. There's a lot of FF covers that I find to be better than the original but not for Force Your Way or the FF7 Mako Reactor themes.

I never would have played FFVIII. I'd never heard much about it, but I wanted a physical copy of FFVII for switch, so I bought a dual pack that came with both. One day, after finishing VII, I randomly decided to play VIII anyway. Best decision I ever made. The gameplay may not be perfect, but I firmly believe that this is the best Final Fantasy story out of the games I've played

It's okay I just think the levels are a bit off and that it tries too hard to be grand, maybe it's the reverb? Either way imo, production needs to be cleaned up a bit and reverb dialed down... HicksZ34 you do realise your statement is also subjective, right? There is no way to objectively say VIII's music is better than the others vice-versa. It's just that based on the opinion of FF fans and critics, VIII's music has the most "favourable" set of track-list compared to other instalments. Surely there are great tracks from other FFs, but as a whole set VIII's track are more cohesive in my opinion.. and the majority of other FF fans.

Very well done, but certain aspects seem off or the melody is drowned out in other parts. Something seems off about the intro, I don't know if it's because all the notes in the chord aren't balancing out the same way as the original, but it really throws me (This is my favorite boss theme so i'm a bit biassed on it, lol) The part where the melody seems really drowned out is about 25 seconds in. the choir really drowns the synth line out. I'm glad you didn't change the drumset part at 1:40-1:44. That was a part that I always loved for some reason and a lot of arrangements I've heard change that drumset part including the Blackmages version.
