My favorite Sandalwood is Sri-Lankan, noting beats a good Sri-Lankan Sandalwood these days although Indonesian Sandalwood is pretty nice.......Australian Sandalwood is very good when you need a powerfully dry and diffusive Sandalwood. Each have their own time and place and like Oud, each batch is different. I have never tried two batches of Sandalwood that have been the same, if they were I would be very concerned. I have tried 3 of Ensar's Sandalwood oils and each has its own unique quality and each will serve different purposes in my attars and incense's.

I'm curious about that note you mention in the Mysore. You describe it as one of the facets of the urine smell. I instantly thought of p-cresyl phenyl acetate! Is it the phenolic odor that you mean, because, that, I can actually imagine as being present in some form of sandalwood out there, and perhaps, present in most if not all, but at levels too low to be detected?

Sorry to interrupt but the same question again comes in my mind which I asked previously that what basically is the meaning of parameters, again used in this episode. If its a confidential stuff not to be disclosed then I truly respect that confidentiality.

Yeah, there are numerous aspects but legendarily speaking - or perhaps, frankly, this is simply the rigorous truth of it from ancient tried-and-proven ways - the slowness, subtlety of extraction over much time, preserves the 'innocence' of for example, flowers, whereas if you go too fast with too much heat this has the effect of mistreating the flowers or let's say, treating them roughly and the eventual result is adversely affected. Even the curvature of the alembic has a role to play concerning the 'seduction' of the essences from whatever raw original materials are being distilled. It is literally about angles, time of day/year/month, position of the moon, geometry, temperature - the 'kung fu' as it were. There are several great fields of endeavors in which these same aspects are revered - the greatest race horse breeder of the modern era had the exact same mindset with regard to how he 'procured' his stallions and their racing progeny; Federico Tesio - there is some written material about his theories still in existence. These things are concepts in the hands and minds of 'grand masters' as it were; and I have a feeling that in the above videos we are watching the student of a genuinely great 'grand master' of essential oils...

I had no idea what you meant by urine in Sandalwood and then a few weeks ago I wasn't thinking about it. I was in bed and I kept sniffing myself, the dog, my husband wondering why I was smelling pee? Then it hit me after about an hour that I was wearing Sandalwood, and your video and what you said. It took a few weeks for me to catch up. And now I can smell the urine in Sandalwood. Thanks:) I also have a entire new appreciation for Australian wood.

Ughh why would anyone want to smell like pee. I’d rather not wear sandalwood if it’s pee stinking. It’s why I don’t like Oud. Fecal oud. There are nice floral ouds out there. You don’t need to buy fecal oud

Great video! I was searching for Santal Imperial from Creed some days ago but its discontinued... Well but almost every creed contains a Sandelwood Note in the basenote (Aventus, Green Irish Tweed etc.)! And what was the Name of your Sandelwood oil which has that calming effect? :)

I don’t think Mysore sandalwood smells like urine, it does have a weird smell at first. Why does your Mysore Santal Royale smell weird, not sweet or creamy. Was I sent something that went bad? It also doesn’t smell like musk either.

I'd prefer your videos without Sheikh Ehab. I'm sure he is a wonderful person, but he has no idea about perfumes, I mean who doesn't know about Creed perfumes and how can anyone think that Santal Imperial is sandalwood oil... Your knowledge is impressive though, thank you for sharing it!
