i create ecosystems unlike plantations there's big diversity of plants and animals that produce high quality sustainable food, herbs and flowers... you can plant also trees for agarwood they will be getting much better nutrition and it will affect the scent just like the fruits have better taste and smell

Shaikh Ensar is it the environment and soil type that dictates the different facets or is it the tree itself?

this is the young age of agarwood in Cambodia, you shouldn't say that was Cambodia kynam. rib for someone do not understand kynam.

Nothing is wrong with that if they have planted and harvested it. The problem is if they are cutting trees from the forest and maybe people have. I'm the Philippines, people are planting hectares of it in the hopes of making good income someday. If they planted it, great! Nothing is wrong with that?

Does Deer Musk improve projection or “diffusive” properties of Attar oils it is layered with? I have a 10% Nepalese Deer Musk macerated in Sandalwood and I am curious how this would influence My attars or fragrances. Any feedback you can provide would be greatly appreciated

I pray that one day, i will be able to smell the wonderful smell of oud. I've been a fan since i was a young teen when i used to read about it, and now im 35. I pray that one day, i will have enough money to just try a little bit of oud before i leave this world.

I have been a huge fan of oud for about 13 years now, and I've only been able to smell 1 oud oil. I pray that one day before i leave this world, i will be able to smell the wonderful smell of real oud and oud wood, which I've never had the chance to smell.

It's so interesting the hear by now multiple times that, the oud business is 100% same in almost every aspect than the tea (especially puerh tea) business in mainland China, Taiwan, and some other places. Very interesting....the complete lack of honesty is a common theme in Asia, again....except the Japanese.

Greetings, Your fan from afar here, and a huge Oud fan in general of course. Using my academic apporach, and constantly updating myself on the ongoing, and ever growing, reasearch on the field of Agarwood, recently I have read quite a few scientific microbiological studies, conducted independantly in Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, China and Malaysia - into the obscure and particular reasons for Kinam formation. Sieving through the information, I saw at least 3 defining factors that appear necessary for Kinam to develop (beyond all others that necessary for the general formation of the aromatic resin, like full maturity of the trees' immune system prior to the infection phase) - First - is the role of rhizobacteria and the specificity of terrestrial microbiological consortium - that is, what kind of a bunch of bacteria lives in the soil around and on the roots; still not clear which ones are exclusive for kinamiferous trees; Second - is a particular role of termites, meaning some specific fingi are brought to the tree only by the termites, who in fact 'garden' them in their colonies (not yet clear which are those exactly); the claim is that without the presence of termites around a wounded tree, kinam would not form; Third factor - is a presence of the fungi from particular species like Phialophora spathulata and Cytosphaera mangifera. It seems that the order in which the tree is exposed first to different pathogens plays a role, as those infectious organisms trigger different immune machanismsopf the trees, and that would influence, what kind of resin will be produced.: like in music, once the key is set, the melody goes a certain way. What is clear that the microbiological uniqueness in any particular locale and even specific tree is crucial, and that the research everywhere is still in its infancy - there is sooo much more to explore. WIth respect, appreciation and even admiration, Kai Leon - Art perfumer.

I have found your amazing channel full of great information from the past, years ago, and now I am rewatching all your videos, and at this point I can tell you, unfortunately it is the same in every niche business which involves the very far east. Pretty much the only people who you can trust is the Japanese. I know these are strong words, but as a tea enhusiast living in Europe I came to recognize that, there is no point to buy older than 10 year old vintage teas anymore, cuz if you are not 100% aware of the source through a friend, then you are completely blind and lied to. It is just the reality of these days.
