Absolutely stunning and gives me so much hope in my zone 9a. We have two, one was 6" when I bought it and the other about 2' . They're in pots & now about 3 & 4'. 😆 After they're about 6', I'm going to put the youngest one in ground & propagate 😬the older more expensive one. Wow! It sounds like you are having as much fun as I am growing these great plants. One tip about propagating the Red Abyssinian, I would do it in March when the plant starts growing in the spring. I tried to propagate one in the winter but it never grew because I think it was going dormant. Good luck on your garden!!

Thanks, that is an awesome plant, but I also read that it is very poisonous. If it wasn't I would be interested it growing one.

@@Tropifornia yes they are poisonous, but you shouldn't eat it. I had never a problem with it, like headache or sickness. Always wash your hands after touching it; then it's no problem. alocasia & colocasia are toxic too.... 🤷🏼‍♂
