Some updates; Must have your base flame level 3 to go through that region of shroud without insta death, the sword is now level 15 rather than 25.

Tried this today - think level may still make a difference to the sword. My level 10 only got a level 15 sword - which I already had from a random chest.

Just thought you should know. The Wolf's Maw is now leveled loot. It was level 15 for one of my characters, and 25 for the other. It looks like it has been patched.

I've played through twice, 2nd time all I used for combat were 3 diffrent wands for combat, Just took an axe for shroud roots and chests and bow to hit boxes in the puzzle areas.

Even though they nerfed the sword to lvl 15 I still enjoyed the walk through at lvl 21. The Guard of the North armor set definitely looks cool. Thank you!

So thinking there may have been a patch? At the first shroud plant encounter (otw to get the chest plate), there was no shroud plant, but around 5 of the green skeleton guys. Wasn't a big deal to fight them, just wasn't expecting it so figured I'd mention!

By the way the shroud is no longer blue it is now red meaning a longer way around

You're right, for starters it's Red until you upgrade to flame level 3. Then you can go through the shroud on the way.

@@tm_hellboy2564 you can acces parts of it at your level, but it will take some time.. they have changed a lot there so you may only be sble to open some of the chests.

The armor is certainly an upgrade for the additional defense, but don't ignore that reduction to time in the shroud.

Wolf's maw dropped as level 15 for me and I just hit 15 so I assume the sword caps at your own level but goes all the way up to 25

Maybe it just me but I don't think this is a viable place to get this armor set anymore, due to the fact pretty much all the town is covered in deadly shroud, and how do you cut down the root if it is in deadly shroud, even with shroud potion it still does not give you enough time even with a axe

Really enjoying this game and your very helpful videos. Even though I won't go searching for gear yet, I do like the way you are exploring the map and explaining things that aren't all that clear to new players. I hope when they fully release it, they make a couple of changes, maybe add villages with villagers you can interact with. I would love to see them make the hoe a little less OP (you can turn one clump of farm dirt into several just by hoeing it🙄). Make mobs more persistent and deadly, especially when your character is many levels lower, and my worst pet peeve, gear should match the character level. You shouldn't even be able to upgrade it until you are at the right level. That being said, it's a gorgeous game, and it's a lot of fun.

So the one in the tower.. I couldn't make it with the basic glider.. but you can just go into the fort, get to the tower, then mine the mushrooms to get inside the tower. ;)

Have you guys try Sapphire Strand there are 2 GOLDS , 3 SILVER and couple of regular chests. I was getting common to legionary items. The last SILVER chest need lockpick.

They've nerfed all the gear, and I'm playing Barbarian/Warriorish and keep getting Caster type gear. Very irritating.

No reason to bother getting high lvl weapons early since the game is too easy anyway without it. As of the armor, literally the only challange in this game is in the shroud, and especially early you really don't want to wear this set just because it makes the game more annoying. And when the drawback is already not that impactfull anymore, you have access to better armors.

The armor is worse than the first copper in all respects, the buffs are equal to copper or less and there is a significant debuff. This is cosmetics for a beginner.

Sadly this the information about the sword is now wrong in this video - I do believe the last game patch changed it to a random version of the sword While watching this video on 28-2-24 : looting the sword from the skeleton for five resets. I did not get a single level 25 version of the sword My character - level 13 I got a level 15, 12, 13, 15, 10 versions of the sword on my resets.
