Those were literally the two songs that had me hooked. My neighbor who was in Massakren(now known as Starkill) had shown me ensiferum like 10 years ago and ever since been a die hard fan.... Wintersun still my fav lol. But jari with ensiferum was epic and am grateful we have both of the two.

Thanks for the video Ruben. You’re the man!! You are correct Jari Mäenpää was the singer, and wrote a lot of the songs for Ensiferum, including this one before starting up Wintersun. He left Ensiferum in around 2004 I believe, to devote all of his time to wintersun.

There are a ton of fantastic Ensiferum songs. Treacherous Gods, little dreamer, victory song, into battle, twilight tavern etc. And many early ones were written and sung by Jari from Wintersun. 😀 in fact the first album is pretty much Wintersun IMO
