While it's true that modern Enslaved cannot be labeled as Black Metal based on its lyrics, it does have a Black Metal sound. Still, you have a black metal god with a 2112 patch in his jacket. It doesn't get any better than that.

I assume he meant they don't care about labels as a band. They will make thrash here, black here, viking here, death here. In the end the band won't stick with a genre.
