Hi, after getting a learner’s permit I’m planning to buy a used car & insurance there. However, later while driving - a full license holder should mandatorily accompany me as per the rules in Ireland (if I’m correct?). My query is: In that case can I drive my car ‘alone’ if I also have an IDP with me same time? Also, would there be any penalty levied on me while using IDP, bcoz my driving insurance was taken on the basis of learner’s permit?
