My hometown (Khimki) is near the Tushino airfield. I was about 1 year old when this event happened. My parents later told me that when the music started it could be heard from any place in the nortwest of Moscow region, which is about 20 kilometers away or much further. So I can assume that the music could be heard all over Moscow too. What a historic moment! This metal gods has blown the place into pieces! I will envy those who were fortunate to be there for the rest of my life...

@MsArcher413 жыл бұрын
It is impossible to record 1.6 million to the papers in a day in 1991. Yes it was a free concert which means at least x2 or x3 of audiences have possibility to get to concert without even seen in the mixure of crowd. But that day there was not just Metallica there. It was a multi band festival which includes AC/DC and Pantera like bands. From begining to end new audiences could come partly and estimated numbers could be guess like that. But shortly when you look at the horizon in the concert it looks like endless when you compare with other concerts. I think there were at least 1m people to join the festival in a day which means crazy.
