heh. I murdered everybody head on. Was curious to see how you were actually supposed to do it. I've seen a few sneaky and creative ways. I actually had to deal with them twice since I stumbled into that camp on my own while roaming the forests. Even after the rebalanced combat patches, I found you could lure them into the moat so they had to murderqueue 1 by 1 in the tightest spot. Second time I just grabbed a halberd and changed in. Those things are still crazy OP.

Never knew the game allowed you to disguise yourself. That's so cool but I prefer the way I handled this quest. Waited until dark and sneaked into their camp. Silently murdering 30 of their number before being discovered and taking out another 15 then swiftly making my exit. This quest was probably my favourite so far. Between that section and the battle that follows, just awesome.

I remember how I did this. I set up my horse close to the bridge as a getaway before killing the two scout cumans and wearing one of there outfits as a disguise (literally equipping only the things that cuman had). Scouted around the camp and then went to poison and sabotage both camps (leaving the cuman camp last) before legging it down the bridge galloping off on pebbles the getaway driver

That's a cool quest, but can be bit frustrating if you wanna be thorough. That's because you pretty much have limited time inside. You can only get away from 3 questionings from cumans. You can spy the camp without attracting them, but to poison and light the arrows you need to get close to them, and whether you'll be able to do these things is purely based on luck, where they will be at the moment. Cause you can't wait for them to move, as you will be questioned by the nearest cuman.

I ended up resorting to good old violence to solve my problems. Killed every single cuman, bandit, chicken, bird and earthworm in both camps and then poisoned the food and burned the arrows. The camp being fully populated again 10 minutes later in the battle was a bit of a bummer tbh. Would have loved rolling in there with an army only to have my commanders be stumped and speechless when faced with a camp full of corpses :D But honestly if I hadnt failed the speechchecks I would have prefered the lore friendlier method

I did this on my first play through by knocking out the guard on the right and stealing his armor. They didn't let me into the cuman part of the camp though. Lol, you missed a pot. Daniel Vavra made Mafia 1, made by the same studio and in the same engine as Hidden and Dangerous, and Hidden and Dangerous has exactly the same disguise mechanic in it, actually a little bit better because the enemy will recognize you if they stare for long enough. Daniel Vavra made this game, so I'm pretty sure he was influenced by that. H&D was the first game he worked on

Why would you begin by letting that Cuman talk to you? You only get three encounters and then the fourth one gets you caught. Use that fact to your advantage to lure Cumans off away from the others. Don't let them get too close, but don't break line of sight. Walk slowly toward the woods or a secluded area. Keep walking until the Cuman stops, then when he turns around to go back to camp, stealth kill him from behind (you have stealth kill perk unlocked, right? That's a must-have perk.) Do this, one-by-one, until all the Cumans are dead. It doesn't take long at all, and it feels good to achieve. If you want to kill all the bandits it requires a different strategy because they don't want to talk to you. Definitely don't waste your three undetected contacts like this though. You're probably gonna need at least one or two to for accidentally letting a couple Cumans get too close while trying to lure them away. It's easy to accidentally let happen, and it's even easier to get sucked into a dialogue unfairly when you walk behind a Cuman who shouldn't have even seen you- it happens. Don't waste a single free contact like this.

I killed them all 2 times. First time when I discovered Pribyslavitz. I waited until late moon and started Killing them while they were sleeping. Few of them started fight and I defeated them. Second time I killed them all during this quest + I did all the sabotage.

Would’ve loved to see you escape that. Tried the exact same thing n got ganged as I was fleeing thru the back entrance of the Cuman camp lmaooooo I love this game it’s hilarious an so much fun!
