Actually, unless you’re planning to do lots of commuting, you can simply use any credit/debit that has a “paywave” function to pay for our buses and MRT rides. FYI besides Singaporeans, we do have many foreigners working in or food and retail businesses. Their English can be very limited.

Thank you for the great tip about using credit/debit cards for transport! I didn’t know about that, and it’s super convenient to hear. We’ll definitely keep that in mind for our next trip to Singapore. When travelling through so many countries, you get used to each city offering its own transport card system. As a tourist, that means collecting a bunch of these plastic cards that just end up taking up space. I’m guessing most tourists throw them away, but not us-we’ll reuse them! 😉 You’re absolutely right! What really stood out to us in Singapore is how well English is spoken here-it immediately felt like home away from home. Honestly, it’s clearer and more precise than in some parts of the UK, and we love how open and friendly everyone is. Thanks again for the great info! 😊

@ on the surface, our English or “Singlish” appears to-the-point but that’s largely because, historically, our previous generations spoke English but think in their respective languages or dialects. There are about 30+% Singaporeans that do speak grammatically correct English.

For two single space capsule, might as well get a single budget room hotel at geylang or jalan besar. For more privacy.

Singapore is such a beautiful and lively place - with so much to explore - we find ourselves out and about most of the time. But great tip about the privacy, thanks for looking out for us! 😉

Just keen to know if there’s any areas in the city where your not aloud to take photos??
@kljustinseahАй бұрын
There are serviced suites and offices nestled in the Central Business District area, but so long as you use street sense such as not to peep into someone's apartment, you should be fine.
@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
Yes, Justin (@kljustinseah) is spot on! 😊 It’s always best to use street sense and be mindful, especially in places like military bases or schools. We’ve had a few experiences ourselves, like filming in train stations in Romania where the staff weren’t too keen on cameras. So we always respect others' wishes - if it feels respectful, you’re usually good to go! Thanks for sharing, Justin! 👍

Filming at the airport customs clearance area is restricted, but is allowed at all other publically accessible areas of the airport Military and police bases are quite far away from the city centre No filming/photos at security checkpoints And no photos/filming inside clinics and hospitals

Welcome! Selamat Datang to our sunny Island set in the sea! Hoped you were blown out of your mind!
@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
Thank you for the warm welcome! Singapore truly blew our minds 🤯 it’s a place that leaves a lasting impression. From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd love every second of our visit! ❤️ As a Brit, I tell family it's like a home away from home, but with that extra wow factor - like visiting an uncle who has it all and is just effortlessly cool. Your island in the sea is true gem! If I could make one tiny tweak, though, it might be dialling down the humidity and those epic thunderstorms just a notch 😂

you could have gone to the basement of Jewel to view the water vortex too...

Yes...

Thanks for the tip! We had no idea the water vortex in the basement was accessible - this is the first time we’ve heard about it! We’ll definitely make sure to check it out on a future visit. Appreciate the heads-up! 👍

When was this? is this year 2021
@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
Thanks for your comment! 😊 Yes, you’re right-it was filmed during the post-COVID period, between 2022 and 2023. Due to some personal things happening in our lives, we weren’t able to keep up with editing and uploading as we would have liked. But we’re back now and our goal is to get everyone caught up! 🎥✨ We’ve visited even more amazing countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, and Korea! We’re really excited to share all these adventures soon. And don’t worry, the masks will be gone in future videos 😅 Thanks so much for your patience and support!

@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
Not that long ago! 😅 This was filmed shortly after masks were no longer mandatory, but out of respect for elders, many locals continued wearing them, and we decided to do the same 😊 Life kept us busy, so editing took longer than expected, but we’re thrilled to finally share these moments. And don’t worry-future videos will be mask-free!
@MrCam70Ай бұрын
when was this video taken? Why is everybody wearing mask?
@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
This was filmed not long after the mask rules were lifted, but many locals still wore them out of respect for their elders. We didn’t want to disrupt that harmony, so we followed suit! It took us a while to get around to editing, but we’re happy to share now. And yes, future videos will look different - no masks this time! 😊

@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
You’re absolutely right - this footage was filmed shortly after the mask mandate was lifted, but many locals still wore them out of respect for their elders, and we followed suit to honour that custom. We didn’t want to create waves of upset - it’s always nice to be respectful when visiting someone else’s homeland 😊 Life got in the way of editing and uploading sooner, but we’re excited to share our first impressions regardless. Future videos won’t feature masks - another thing to look forward to!

Why people still wear masks?
@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
This footage was filmed shortly after masks weren’t mandatory anymore, but many people still chose to wear them out of respect for elders. We wanted to honour that too - it’s nice to be mindful when visiting another country 😊 It’s taken some time to edit and upload, but we’re excited to share these first impressions!

Why the mask still.... and they arnt even over your nose
@andrew_patrycjaАй бұрын
Good catch! This was filmed not long after masks weren’t required, but we noticed many locals still wearing them out of respect, so we chose to do the same to avoid upsetting anyone 😊 Finding time to edit took longer than expected, but better late than never, right? Our first impressions still counts 😂 You’ll see us mask-free in future videos!
