Alert Red on the Atlantic: The heavily armed airplane carrier Strike 8 trained on the ocean in case of emergency. The aim of the four-week maneuver on the Atlantic Ocean is to optimize the tactical interaction of each battleship before they go into the next hot mission. The heart of the fleet is the 333 meter long aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman - guarded by several destroyers and a reconnaissance ship of the Bundeswehr, the frigate Hesse.

Well hate to break it to you but its not. You've got the Gerald r Ford which is more capable. The uk has the Queen Elizabeth class, and china has new aircraft carriers on the way. The Nimitz class is old tech in 2020

Try it you remedial uneducated dunce. In today's world of hi-tech Anti-Ship ballistic missiles like the DF-21D operational range (1700km's), that can sink any carrier in the world with a single hit. All Navys without the ability to stop these missiles are completely obsolete today. Russia's Zircon Anti-Ship missile though inferior in way of operational range (400km's) it can be fired from Aircraft, Subs, and Ships making it deadly to any Carrier in the world. Russia also has the Brahmos and the P-800 Oniks Anti-Ship missiles. No US destroyer or British destroyer can defend against these missiles making ALL western Navy's obsolete in today's world. Let's look at the distance the US jets can travel., It's about 500-650 km's out and the same back = 1300km's range. So how do you deploy a carrier close enough to reach any inland target and get back again? They can't!!! Anywhere Inside 1700 km's they're sunk, they're toast. So today, the US or UK has NO CAPABILITY to attack any country that has these ASMs in their armoury. That's the REAL FACTS Today. The risk outweighs any result = Obsolete AND PLEASE!! If anyone wants to disagree and say we can stop those ASMs, then do name these super duper missiles you want to claim we have? If not, just shut up.

Try to have a discussion about Aircraft with any American and you'll be flabbergasted at how unaware they really are. They talk rubbish, yet they really start to believe what they say. It makes no difference if you show them, explain to them, or even go through it in detail with them, you can conclusively prove things to these people, and they'll ignore it and carry on saying the same thing. Even when they've just been shown or had something proven to them that they're completely wrong about makes no difference at all, you can try to talk to them about any military hardware, and you'll always come to find they actually know nothing about any of it. And when you point things out to them, things that they've so obviously just dreamt up in their own head, all you'll get back is a few lines of remedial illegible rubbish. But you'll then see them somewhere else, repeating what they already know to be complete rubbish. Honestly, you could not make it up. Anyone with even a tiny brain, would want to see their aircraft performing doing what they claim they can, any normal person would be thinking these Aircraft are built for my security, all of our security, so naturally I'm going to want to see what these super expensive fighters can do, right? Now the very last thing I'd ever be doing is trying to big up an aircraft I knew nothing about, and had never seen do anything it claims it can, because that would be a pointless exercise, it would prove nothing and the chances would be that I'd actually only be repeating propaganda being fed to me by the company paid to build these aircraft, in other words I'd be promoting their unproven aircraft I'd never seen do anything. Now just how dumb would that be? It's like saying to the Lockheed Martins of this world, I believe anything you say and claim, and don't worry about showing us or proving anything you claim, I'll just keep paying you for your propaganda to keep myself safe. Any normal person would be demanding it proves itself in some way shape or form, not hiding away with excuses after excuses why it's never been used in the 15 years they've had it, even though they've been at War the entire time. But in the American mind, it doesn't matter if it works or not, just as long as they can believe it does without ever seeing it, so they can come on KZbin and claim the USA has the best fighter in the world. It's so pathetic. You'll never hear the best claim they're the best, why? They've no need, they simply are the best.

That's what subs do to try and throw off any that might be in their wake. That was a carrier maneuverability test and wouldn't be useful for a carrier to perform unless it was evading an attack.

Yes but not in the longterm, China is catching up dramatically. I guess they will overtake the US miltary in 2050. By the way both Russia and China have already supersonic missiles in use which can not be stopped. They are especially effective against ships for example, so i would not like to be a crewmember on a military ship these days or in the future. China will be the new superpower and its allies are russia, turkey, pakistan, african countries etc.. also india partners with china. So the future kind of scares me because non democratic countries can be the new rulers of this planet.

What a feeling that must be for a commander (like at about 12:50 min), to give the order for this giant ship and its fleet, to get off the pier... :) On `german` KZbin, we got a documentation about this mission in german language in a bit different filmcut (of course a bit closer to the Frigate Hessen`s view). I now enjoy it so much more, to get the american version here :) Thank you so much ! And of course there is pride, that `we` are invited, to join such a fleet... I am sure, the Nowegians feel the same for their vessel.
