Enterprise driver crashed my Yamaha Tracer 9GT

@@RRRRefuelRideRace that’s the insurance companies here in UK, they take their time, because I’m claiming from the other driver’s insurance, basically the more time I’ll pass they will be charged more and more every day as someone needs to pay for the loan bike and storage , repairs etc Will update as soon as I have news 👍

Commenting in hopes that the algorithm brings me back for the follow up video! See that you dig up as many receipts as possible for all of your aftermarket accessories. If you can’t find the receipts, just make a list of the retail value of all of the modifications AND labor for installation. It will do two things: 1. Make the check to you bigger so you can properly replace your beloved bike and 2. Discourage them from writing it off, because the check they have to write you will be that much more than for a stock bike. Hope it works out how you like my friend. I assume Enterprise’s insurance is taking care of this, and not your insurance company, correct?

That sucks man. I had similar many years ago and my bike was written off, but then it was worth a lot less than yours is today. Firstly, does your insurance know about all the accessories you have fitted? Secondly, If they do not know about them, they will not pay out for replacements, so will need to be removed before the bike is picked up from you. If you don't remove them, the insurance company wont take responsibility for them to be returned to you after they have sold the bike on! Hopefully they do know about them and they will be taken into account on the value of the bike and the costs involved in replacing them.

Thank you Matt for dropping the comment ✅ Much appreciated for watching ✅ I’m claiming through the enterprise van insurance not my insurance and they have already told me the bike is repairable so hopefully they will put it back as it was and give it back with everything that I had added to, If they change and write it off 🤔 then so be it, will have to buy the bike from them as it is for whatever the price may be. Hope not.

Good-luck with the Insurance! looking at the damage it looks like a few panels & maybe some new bars! I love my tracer 9 gt! such a great bike. Hopefully it will be returned to you soon! When you go on your next adventure, I would love to be involved. I went on a 2000+ miles trip through Wales up to west Scotland & I had 9 days of pure sunshine! It was great, Everyone I know has sports bikes & not interested in the longer trips so I would love to have some company another time. Im from Hertfordshire!

Would love that too, Hope to have the bike back as well , if not I’m tempted with the new gt+ but I’m going to the NEC this year and who knows what I find that I like, But unfortunately I’m not the tallest or the most experienced rider so I’m limited to what I can handle 🤣 Stay tuned as few videos will follow with what the insurance gave me 😎

Did the crashbar do it's job to protect engine / frame / panels? I have watched your mounting video and I got sad when I saw it got damaged. As im looking to buy the Crashbuards, I want it to do its job to protect the bike. If not - I rather just use the insurance to replace damaged parts. Cheers from Sweden!

Thank you Volfi for tuning in 👍 Much appreciated ✅ The crash mars did their job as the engine had no damage , The problem I had was because I left my helmet on the handlebars and that got crushed between the ground and the bike so it damaged the tank faring. If the helmet wasn’t there the pannier was the only damage🤔 But hey , we live and learn 😎 The bike is back now and like brand new 💪 Cannot wait for the good weather so I când do another video 👌 Ride safe my friend 🏍️💪

Thank you for dropping the comments Dean✅ Much appreciated ✅ The problem was mine to be fair as I’ve left the helmet on the handlebars and the helmet got in the way hence it crashed the tank top and the helmet 😞 If the helmet wasn’t there probably ended up just with the pannier .

Cześć stary.. przykro mi słyszeć, że też miałeś upadek.. Mam nadzieję, że u Ciebie i na rowerze wszystko w porządku. Dziękuję za dostrojenie się, Rower jest teraz naprawiony po 7 miesiącach i nie mogę się doczekać dobrej pogody, żeby móc ją zabrać. W ciągu tych 7 miesięcy garaż nie naładował akumulatora i całkowicie padł, więc zainstaluję baterię litową. Dziękuję za obejrzenie i pozostawienie komentarza. Bardzo doceniane. (użyłem do tego tłumacza Google) 😂

@@bbeyAzz unfortunately the helmet was on the handlebars and got crushed between the fairings and the ground hence the fairings got damaged, To be completely honest, if I didn’t had the helmet there, it was just a simple scratch to the pannier…
