Since Chuck E. Cheese doesn't really count because it still exists, there used to be a place called Peter Piper Pizza that we LOVED! They closed it down and now it's been a Famsa for who knows how long... I recently went to El Paso AND THEY HAVE ONE THERE! I'm about to be 20 but I really want to go again lol

OMG HOT WHEELSSSS!!!! That was the coolest place ever. Now it's called Super Wheels. Grand Prix Race o Rama is now a huge apartment building that you can see from the palmetto. They actually just opened a Costo right by there too, next to Home Depot and Mall of the Americas. I used to love los Piratas!!! I went to endless bday parties there lol Now it's a Honda dealership We share the same entertainment center memories chica. Miami girls :) Xo

I grew up in the Kendall/Hammocks area and I did celebrate my birthday at Discovery Zone (on Kendall and 137th Ave). I still have a few of the invitations they give you to send out to guests. My fondest memories of that place was the obstacle course. It was definitely the place to be. Then I remember it changed to a Dandy Bear at one point. I think it's still there today.

Oh, my gosh...I remember all of these things! Discovery Zone, Ultrazone, and Hot Wheels were my favorites, though! Boomers was another cool place. P.S. I love you and your videos so much...you are amazing! Being a Cuban-American that was born and raised in Westchester, I relate to you so hardcore! I didn't go to St. Brendan for school, but I grew up going to mass there...I was an altar girl and in the church choir. Thank you for creating Latinx content and for bringing awareness to Cuban culture and Latin culture in general! I really appreciate everything you do!

I remember all of those places including the Miami-specific ones! My favorite as a kid was Dandy Bear though. The one I went to (might've been in Hialeah) had a rollerskating rink inside & that was just the best. Also making your own personal pizza in that giant room lol.

The Tampa/Brandon area of Florida used to have a Discovery Zone too. When I had my birthday there I spun a Wheel of Fortune for tickets rather than the thing you described. There was also a place called Celebration Station nearby. It had all the usual games and playplace stuff, plus an outdoor go-kart track, bumper boats, and mini-golf. It's gone now, but the one in Clearwater is still around. The local Chuck E Cheese is still open, but they seem to have a lot of crime there. Every few months I hear about an incident there on the local news. There's also a laser tag place in Tampa called Q-Zar. It's been around since my childhood. There were many times it was thought to close but it's still around, even after multiple fires.

Jenny! Omg! So my parents are divorced and every other weekend my brother and I would spend our weekends with dad. I LOVED going to Chuck E. Cheese (and had many birthdays there), so my dad would take me on Saturdays, but hated the birthday crowds. He hates crowds, period. He managed to convince me that if I woke up early and we go to Chuck E. Cheese when they opened, I would have the entire place to myself! I wouldn't have to fight with kids for the games. He also convinced me that I should save my tickets for a chance at getting a good prize (life lessons here, save and get more bang for your buck). It was possibly then I discovered, in an empty Chuck E. Cheese, that I am an extrovert. Also, GRAND PRIX RACE-O-RAMA WAS LIFE!

Out in Denver we had Celebrity Sports Center, which was the closest. They had arcade games AND water-slides. Also bowling, but I didn't do that much. Also Boardwalk USA (was that countrywide? I don't know). That was my favorite, because you didn't get tokens to play the arcade, instead you got a card. And it only cost your parents like $7 to let you play there all day with unlimited arcade credits. Finally got to beat all those 4-player beat 'em ups that we never had enough tokens to get through. We went to Discovery Zone a couple times. Also one called Leaps & Bounds, which was all just the pipes, and that got bought by DZ so they slapped their sign on the front.

I went to discovery zone, Play world at coral way and 87th, Los Piratas, Malibu Grand Prix, and Six Flags Atlantis water park.

Ah! This brought back so many memories from my childhood! I live in AR though and we had a skating rink called "Rollin' J's" and we came up with other names like "Stink Rink" because it was super old and super smelly. Pinball machines, pizza, favorite 90s candy and a DJ corner to request our favorite jams. I remember when a certain song would come on and you thought you were flying across that floor. No one could tell you anything. Haha. Our elementary school had parties there and my brother played roller hockey... I think it got somewhat of an update and was turned into something kid-friendly but not quite as sad. LOL.

We adopted my son from Romania, when he was 2 1/2 areas old. He would see the ads for Chucky Cheese on TV, and jump around and point at the screen. So one day we took our son and two of his friends to Chucky Cheese, kids dream, parents nightmare. The boys loved the game area, Wack-a-Mole the biggest hit. Running around, drinking sodas, my son was so happy. Pizza time came and we sat at the long tables by the stage, in a pit like area. The kids ate, the animatronic show came on, everybody's fine. Then Chucky came out. Some teen in a mascot type suit. Chucky walked up to my son, and my kid LOST it. "SOBOLAN MARE, SOBOLAN MARE!, he screamed, and ran behind my husband. Chucky put his hands up and ran back stage. "What is he saying?", my husband asked. "I don't know! Get me the book!", I yelled. Though my son was learning English fast, my Romanian was mainly from the translation book. "BIG RAT, BIG RAT!" is what he was screaming. I don't think they have Rat mascots in Romania. We finally got him to calm down, and explained, as best we could, that it was just a big kid in a suit. We stuck to Pizza Hut, from then on.

There was a place in Edinburgh called The Jelly Club that everyone used to go to for birthday parties. (except me, my parent never let me) It was basically a gigantic soft play area with slides, car racing, climbing ropes, things you could roll and climb on and there was a cafe and a party room. It got closed down about 7 years ago and got turned into a BMX place which then got closed down a few years later and the building's just rotting away now. Go figure.

I only went to Chuck E Cheese maybe 3 times, my friends sometimes had their parties at Peter Piper Pizza, which was cheaper and had no mascots. But my favorite place to go to as a kid was Rollerskateland. That place was AMAZING(when I was in 4th-6th grade), my friends would have their parties there and in 6th grade we had a party/field trip for 6th graders only, we thought we were soo cool wandering around with minimal supervision in a semi dark room. I was great. I unfortunately closed down when I was in high school and I haven't found anything like it in my area. :(

The 2 memories I have of these places is one from my childhood and one later on in life. The first was when I was about 5, I was in the ball pit and I couldn't get out and the attendant was a heavyset woman, she tried to help me out and literally feel on me burying me in the ball pit. It took 3 other employees to get me and her out. The second was picking my sister up at Chuck E. Cheese after her shift and seeing how traumatized she was that she had to wear the costume for Chuck. Her words to describe it were hot, and wet. When we got home she proceeded to go to the bathroom and take a shower that lasted for about an hour. I know this was a long post but seeing this video brought those memories back.

Ok, so I have memories of Show Biz pizza. I looked it up and just realized that they later changed the name and it became Chuck E Cheese. I was also both amazed and afraid of those freaky animatronics. In Chicago there was also a Little Caesars Pizza play place. Anyone remember that? It was in the same location as Show Biz pizza and I don’t remember which came first. They’ve some how blended as a memory in my head. Along with arcade games & “Caesar” token rides you spent all your time running through a never ending cheese “house” maze with little cheese holes for windows. I remember the spaces having a real low ceiling so you HAD to crawl and the smell of sicote was raunchier than anywhere I’ve ever been in my life!! It was imposible for adults to get in there and i don’t think it was ever cleaned. Pizza and gum was ground into the carpet of that stinky place. For whatever reason I was still super excited to have my birthday party there.

Totally unrelated to the topic of the video: Who illustrated your art at the end of your video? I absolutely love it. Also, my favorite place growing up was Kids Space. It's still in existence too, but at lot more science focus now.

DZ was the place to be for mid 90's birthdays especially after they added laser tag. All my friends had their party at the Sawgrass DZ. I remember the Dandy Bear commercials, it was very Miami never went to one.

There's actually still an Ultra Zone in Virginia and I've been there twice. But now I'd love to at least experience one time at Discovery Zone.
