Taylor Swift had an epic 2023! From reaching billionaire status, to landing the title of ‘Time's Person of the Year, dropping two albums, releasing the highest-grossing concert movie of all time, setting the all-time record for most listeners of any artist and embarking on the more than 150-stop ‘Eras’ tour, it's not hard to see why 2023 was the year of Taylor Swift.

People who think she’s overrated haven’t really given her music a chance. It’s tough though because she has so many amazing albums, you really need to put in some time before it really hits you. But when it does it’s the most amazing feeling. In the last few years I’ve explored albums by almost 2000 artists and Taylor has now become my favorite of all time this last month. Her songwriting, variety, perfect production, expressive voice, and amazing lyrics make her a one of a kind artist and her music gives me a high that I’ve never felt before.

Her market was teenagers like 15 years ago. Those teenagers are in their 30s now. And her music is a universal language, her songs and lyrics can speak to and heal anyone from any demographic. Her audience is so much broader than teen girls, although many teen girls really like her too. In my opinion she is the best influence for young people, in the public eye today. Hopefully she will be an influence on older generations too, because her messages are for them too.
