Same sex marriage is not legal in the Philippines. Even if it is, citizenship is not given to a foreigner who married to a Filipino citizen. The only way to stay here at work is a work visa or a temporary visa that lasts for months. A Canadian vlogger spent years and countless senate and congress hearings to become a Filipino citizen. Hi! Actually, if a foreigner is married to a Filipino citizen, he or she can apply for a permanent resident visa or the 13a visa. That's what my husband has. We applied a year after we got married in QC. He's been here now for 11 years and he just renews his ACR-I card every 5 years and does the annual report every year.
