We don't have to agree with how people lead their lives, I am sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't agree with the fact that my husband and I lived together before we were married but to each their own. It doesn't mean we are bad people. See the good in people and love them for who they are. Just because you are straight doesn't mean you are a good person and treat people well. Good comes from within and Gabe is very blessed that Isabel's dad has enough love in his heart to see that and accept that. Im warmed by gabe and isabel's success. Her dads integrity to the tenets of his faith and love in his heart❤ are an inspiration and he is an example of doing it right no matter your beliefs. This means that he may be conservative based on his belief to a casual glance but what he is is progressive. Truly progressive. Not just for your own but for all. Gotta admit had tear in my eye when Gabriel's future father inlaw had the conversation with him. It's someone who really believes in the teaching of Christianity and how religion can be positive. Of course, he's a lovely guy too (and I am an atheist). Also, with the whole Islam situation, I grew up in Saudi Arabia. I remember my mum wasn't allowed in Record/music stores (was the 90's) but it was total haram. We would joke about it being in the Quran "nah women cant buy CDs". I grew up around Muslim culture and the women were treated like queens but also executed in the family swimming pool for something we in the West would consider a moral slight, not even that. But by majority even in Saudi knew Muslims that were as loving and kind and open as Gabriel's father inlaw. It's always about the individual and how their interpretation of their religion.

i thinkk that mahmoud only cares about what people think about him not being able to control his wife, he has no problem seing his wife not wearing hijab or wearing consevatively, but when he thinks about his brother's wife who prays and does all of what her husband tells her, Mahmoud feels weak and as if he's low and unable to control his wife, which explain his aggressive behaviour, he still needs to grow.

To be honest I agreed with Mahmoud, if you are marrying a man who’s culture and religion are so important, then you have to do the best you can to adapt to him, you are in his land, with his family, is not ok to impose your own culture into them, you have no right to do so. I was laughing when she talked about Yoga and Meditation, you know what is that to God and what it means for their Allah? A slap in the face. Like seriously, I’m glad they are trying to move on and fix it and I hope eventually they do.
