A friendship on line would probably be best for Debbie and Oussama. Perhaps they are in need of companionship instead of marriage. Connecting with folks on a deeper level is hard to find these days. I agree with Melicia Oussama should have been upfront in the beginning. Perhaps Debbie could have asked more questions before she sold everything to move to Morocco but here they are. Morocco is a patriarchal society so I wasn't surprised with Oussama not asking Debbie what she wanted in a husband. I tutored men from Morocco in English trust me there are very few who don't subscribe to the patriarchal ideology. I actually went to the same hotel while on my vacation to Morocco visiting my parents in law for the first time 🤣 we just bought an apartment here in the capital as well but yea I can definitely relate to some of the traditional role arguments it’s a crazy cultural change but I got used to it and I love it in Morocco ❤

This is both a character and age issue. Debbie is nearly 70 years old, there is no reason she should be even considering a man in his 20’s. My kids are in there 20’s, they have grandparents in their early 70’s. Age is nothing but a number until you start speaking in generations. She is 2 generations older. It’s a character issue- he should have been very clear on his expectation before she came. They are both in the wrong.
