This is all above board- Marsha is credited for her vocals on the track. This is no different to any backing vocalists being mixed with lead vocals to enhance a track. Donna De Lory worked with Madonna in the late 80s and 90s specifically to "sweeten" Madonna's vocals - and when she initially auditioned with Madonna - the two singing together for the first time - Madonna complained asking the musical director "Why isn't she singing?" and he replied that Donna was singing, but that she had blended in so well with Madonna's voice that she wasn't able to tell.
