My favorite tv show ever ❤ Even if the characters were living a different lifestyle to mine, everything they go through teaches you so much as a teenager! She aged beautifully although she has changed that much that I wouldn’t have recognised her in the street ☺️

It killed the show killing her off, was a big mistake but at the same time you couldn't repeat the off again on again with Ryan where it was always a tempatation coming between them or a misunderstanding. It had plenty of life left in the show too just like OTH went 9 seasons, this could easily have gone 6-10 on that initial momentum prior to her death.

She was one of the main characters, and the show didn’t feel the same after she died. It’s like they tried to replace Marissa with Taylor

To be fair, when Marissa Cooperwas killed off the show, it was probably the best for Ryan's character because she was always with some other guy and they weren't right for each other after Volchek turned her into one his mattress and coke hoes. It was a relief because she wasn't even nice to Ryan or a good girlfriend, she took Oliver's side in S1, and then she had her lesbo phase with Alex, then she hooked up with the yard guy and by the time she was killed off, I was really tired of her character, and she had wanted to pursue other acting jobs and the show's creator felt like it was time to end it because they did everything they could with her, and it was perfect timing that the characters were out of high school.

@Lindy T It's obviously the weight tho. She'd still look like a celebrity if it wasn't for the weight, even if she's not getting lots of work done on her face. Just search for some of her photos back in 2009/2010 when she gained some weight and the tabloids were going crazy calling her fat. Her face just seems to get really plain once she puts on weight.

It's long but read: HORRIBLE scene and decision. You could tell the whole eps it was comming. They were making it obv she wanted to leave and too obv volchok was crazy and obsessed with her. It wasn't foreshadowing.... to me it felt like it was poorly shoving this dumb story in your face in your face. That she and Ryan were bound to have some run in with the bad guy she chose volchok (choosing him knowing he was Ryan's enemy btw ).What was shocking was how bad the scene was. Ryan acting like he couldn't stop the car during the chase lol..... also after that I could just tell it was ending. They skipped passed what they could have done with Ryan's grieving, Julia's, her BEST FRIEND SUMMER!!!! Like they all moved on super quick, within MONTHS. And her own BF SUNMER WASNT SLIGHTLY mad Ryan was moving on so fast? Her own mother wasn't a bit mad? Because of who those characters were to Marissa THE ENTIRE SHOW LEADING UP, they would have Been LIVID Ryan was moving on so quick. I think Ryan himself would've punished himself or atleast contemplated with the idea if he was betraying Marissa by moving on. The writers didn't even touch those stories.
