That's unrealistic b/c each individual's concept/definition of "Kind" is not the same. I also believe the misconception regarding "all who worked for her" is a major part of the problem. Although her name was on the show NONE of the folks employed on the show worked for Ellen, she did not hire,fire, or make policy or set the tone. NONE of the employees on the show reported to Ellen. In fact, instead of apologizing, she would have been better served by hiring a crisis management team with goal of explaining that w/o it appearing she was passing the buck. Why would you accept responsibility for something you have absolutely NO control over???

No one knows what goes on behind the scenes/curtains or in our own homes, so I cannot speak for the accusations. What I can say for certain is that her show made me feel good. Ellen obviously enjoyed shining a light on feel-good people and feel-good events. Sadly, we live in an environment where too many folks would rather believe what they cannot see and deny what they feel in their own hearts.

Those feel-good moments and feel-good events were capitalized by Ellen & the network, making them millions of dollars, while misreading their staff members in the process, and misleading their viewers into a fake be-nice-happy illusion. I was not an avid watcher of Ellen but I liked her, found her entertaining, and she was very generous to many. However, there were segments of her show where her words,actions,behavior, could be construed as mean spirited (Offering Mariah Carey champagne to determine if she was pregnant or not, Putting Dakota Johnson on the spot about a freakin party invitation).

actually she bullied a lot of people ON the show even in front of the cameras and overstepped a LOT of boundaries objectifying both men and women and exposing personal facts even of her 'celebrity friends'. if it made you feel good perhaps you need to examine if you have some form of sociopathy? I say that in seriousness because a lot of Hwood is built on exposing peoples vulnerabilities without permission or respect. public pay for that and thats why it has existed, healthy people say no to that behaviour, and thats why toxic people are getting cancelled. good luck. start with the clips of Taylor swift and Justin beiber...there are many many others such as Mariah Carey.

She had said she trusted her producers to run the show while she focused on the content and that’s what she did wrong . She trusted the wrong people. She did a lot of good on her show almost every day she gave money to people that needed it. Her biggest mistake was trusting the wrong people and not being more engaged behind the scenes. It doesn’t mean she should be ostracized.

I have a lot of good memories of watching and enjoying The Ellen Show with my dad, but there were many things about Ellen herself that I didn’t like. She often came across as a fake, gaslighting person. That said, she was undeniably good at what she did, aside from some of her more uncomfortable interviews where she gaslighted certain celebrities. What really gets to me is that she spent years pushing an anti-bullying and "be kind" message, yet behind the scenes, she treated her employees and others poorly, especially when the cameras were off, making her a complete hypocrite.

This chick has been extremely blessed, enough money to carry her over multiple lifetimes. Yet, she is still bitter about something that happened years ago, let it go already. Based on some of her words,actions, behavior, she could be mean spirited at times. If she did not feel she owed anyone an apology, then DON"T extend one. She was made the scapegoat, when in fact, although her name was on the show, that's the extent of it, she did not employee one person on the show, she did not make policy, she did not hire or fire, her interaction with any/everyone affiliated with the show was MINIMAL, if at all. Her primary interaction was with her show runner., but she did not have the authority to fire her show runner (She could refuse to work with her show runner and demand she be replaced but that's the extent of it. Most outside of the industry, have no conception how the behind the scenes works, and she would have been better served hiring a crisis management team and explaining that to the public. Oprah owned her show, therefore, she controlled every aspect of her show from soup to nut via HARPO productions( Oprah was the rare exception).. HARPO employed every single individual associated with her show including her show runner.....The buck starts and stops with Oprah....HARPO had it's on Human Resources dept.....I guarantee ya that Ellen was an EP of her show but that title means NOTHING b/c she does not need that title to be invovled with the production of her show.
