While the actor and his co-star, Jodie Comer, sit down with ET's Nischelle Turner to chat about their film 'The Bikeriders,' Austin shares he 'hasn't heard' anything about the 'Pirates' rumors, and adds how it would be a full-circle moment. I love the Pirate movies with Johnny and have them all. However as much as I love him...I've still not seen the last one. They are too long for what they are. I'd rather he'd move on with new projects. Carribian...has run it's course. Imo.

Like you said, it has run its course. Austin shouldn't get involved with it because he's working with fresher material these days and this doesn't fit in his acting credits.

Here’s the real question what the hell is going on with this movie? Is it a reboot? Is it a sequel? Is there a reboot and a sequel in development which begs the question why are you even doing the reboot in the first place if you’re also doing a sequel similar to what’s happening with Moana I don’t know Anymore and it’s never been announced by Disney themselves from what I remember The last thing about it was that it was a reboot and that was about it so I don’t really know what the hell this is going to be if it does happen they should just decide if it’s a reboot or sequel personally feel like the least try to make it a sequel so they can make more money and not just reboot the franchise Which makes sense sense, remakes, and reboots that don’t have nostalgia behind them like some of the Disney live action remakes don’t really do well in comparison to sequels unless the brand as well known enough Pirates I don’t think if he would reboot it would be if it wasn’t a sequel

I’m sorry people but with or without Johnny Depp I think Pirates of the Caribbean is over and done with and has been since at worlds end. So can we please just move on. If you want another pirate movie, how about we launch a new franchise instead? do you wanna see more women in cinema make a movie about the pirates Anne Bonny or Grace O’Malley the pirate queen. Wanna stick with fiction create pirates completely out of thin air. Be an opportunity for some diversity since pirates did not operate by society norms. Want the classics instead? How about adapting the works of Robert Lewis Stevenson, and not just treasure Island. He also wrote kidnapped, which was a pirate story. The point I’m making is, pirates of the Caribbean is beyond exhausted. It’s time we move on and start looking for pirate flicks elsewhere.
