They are is friends, he will never let them feel left out, even if he's one of the biggest rock stars of all time, I think the film shows that as well, because what they wanted to do with the movie, is not only to tell the story of how Freddie, Roger,Brian, and John came to be. But to portray the group's friendship and the love and respect they share for eachtoher. He was always the big brother to his buddies.

Flowing Flo Freddie himself says in an interview they were friends and hung out but they were on different continents and Freddie's lifestyle was very different from Michael's so they drifted apart. At that point, Freddie couldn't understand why Michael was a recluse coz Freddie liked to party but after a few years Freddie became a recluse himself. Michael was affected by his death, was slated to perform at his tribute concert (he couldn't for unknown reasons) and became an avid AIDS awareness campaigner. All Queen members say Michael loved Freddie and Freddie called Michael his "little brother".. this affection and admiration was personal and went beyond music. An artistic relationship only would be like the one he had with Mick Jagger or Eddie van Halen. Freddie too had a difficult childhood in boarding school and was a humble gentle soul, he was from they were also artistically alike. Freddie was Indian and Michael identified with Indians.

Since seeing Bohemian Rhapsody, I have this new interest and respect for Queen, and Freddie Mercury. He is quite beautiful, not only to look at, but to listen to. I loved the music growing up in the 70s and 80s, but never knew that much about Freddie, or Queen. We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions was our sports anthem in before basketball and volleyball games when I was a teen. Crazy Little Thing Called Love played at the roller rink. How wonderful that Freddy left such a legacy, and that Queen still plays on today!
