Josh Hutcherson opens up to ET’s Katie Krause about filming the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise and reacts to old interview footage. The actor, who played Peeta in the movies, says he would love to be part of the prequel which was recently announced by Lionsgate and reveals he caught up with Jennifer Lawrence during quarantine. For a while I did acting as a kid and I refused to watch anything I was in. One of my acting coaches told us we HAD to be comfortable watching ourselves or else we’d never make it in the business. But a lot of actors and actresses don’t like watching themselves. And yes I never made it in the business because it wasn’t my thing as I got older. I’m fine with being a “normal” person😂

Omg too relatable...started obsessing over the series when I first saw the movie at like 14. Read all the books and became more obsessed. Flew to London at 18 and saw the catching fire red carpet (it was so crazy seeing and hearing Josh, Jennifer and co in person!). Read a ton of fanfic to feed my curiosity over what happened after the 3rd book. Fast forward and I’m an supposedly grownup 23 year old woman and I just started re reading the book series again and I’m feeling myself slowly falling back into my obsession over the series. Reading the books from an adult perspective is so interesting and I understand the characters so much better🥲

The first time I read them I was like 11 then 14 or then 16 something now I’m 20 and I reread them again this year before the Prequel and oh my lord. There were parts that were so intense and traumatic that i only ever thought of so deep now. I honestly thought I was gonna be reading through it rolling my eyes. But there seriously was none of that. I really just gained a new appreciation for the books. Wow especially that ending. Like the last 50 pages seriously it could of ended in such a more unrealistic way. I found myself in the past so upset at Katniss’ decisions not even taking into account before that she was 16 going through all of this *wtf*. I had also always thought that things ended on a happy note. But this reread actually left me crying cause no of course not that bitch is scarred forever oml.

This probably won't happen, but his talking about wanting to come back as Peeta in the BOSAS movie made me think it'd be cool to have Snow actually telling the story, like during the time Peeta was in the Capitol being hijacked, he asked something about why Snow hates them so much, and Snow goes on to tell Peeta about Lucy Gray, and everything that happened in the book.

I ALMOST had a crying meltdown when he said him and Jen have talked to each other a bit. I would have actually had a meltdown if they haven't talked in 5 years. It's been 5 years since Mockingjay came out, but fans are still thunderous for juicy things on The Hunger Games. Has no one talked about how Sam Claflin aka Finnick Odair, broke my heart in Mockingjay and is now doing well and playing in a roll for a kid's movie called Enola Holmes? I will forever be a Hunger Games fan, and have really high hopes for a book about Katniss and Peeta doing well in life. I would go mental.
