@RubyDynamite5 жыл бұрын
Andy Hallett was such a darling man. I went to a con where the organizers were just shamelessly milking the convention goers as hard as they could, selling more tickets for more signings with the castmember guests. I overheard Andy's manager saying something to him like 'you don't HAVE to stay' and he said "they came all this way to see me and get to speak to me and get my autograph, so I'll stay as long as it takes." I didn't stop him to tell him I'd overheard (because I didn't wanna out myself as a big ol' eavesdropper) when I saw him in the lobby later that day, but I just gave him a big smile as I was on my way out. He was a really nice guy.

And the way Joss treated her was honestly horrible. He was so lucky to have made all his shows before social media became what it is now, or he'd never have had the chance to direct any Avengers movies or become the multi-millionaire he is now. He'd've been cancelled way back when Buffy was on the air, and none of his other shows would have been made. It's very telling that he did not show up for this reunion. I bet anything that multiple cast members said they wouldn't go if he was involved. They all know the truth about how he treated actresses on his sets. His wife exposed him, Charisma exposed him, Michelle exposed him. And where is he now? He hasn't made a single public appearance or even released a statement since all this became public. No defense, and no apology. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if his career is completely over at this point!

Pablo81 Completely agree. I mean I like Spike and all, but to bring him in just to replace Cordy was just a waste of his character. They literally did nothing with him. Also ruined his big sacrifice in Buffy. I liked Fred, she was sweet. But really underdeveloped and was practically someone’s love interest the entirety of her arc. I never liked Gunn. He just brought way to much testosterone to the team, and just really complained half the time, also tried to hard to be Alpha. Angel, Cordy, and Wes all had history together which made them click so well. I cherish season 1 and half of 2 because their dynamic is just so amazing. Once the group expands they just had less and less scenes together, as the trio that started it all.

Honestly, Angel was always my favorite of the two series, even if ATS was a spin-off - BTVS always had this black-and-white worldview that was basically shown to be very convenient propaganda for the Watchers (ie. vampires aren't your friend, they're the thing that killed your friend and is now wearing your friend as a suit, essentially - even though we saw with *several* vampires that that wasn't at all the case, including Harmony, Spike and Angel himself). ATS, on the other hand, did have a much darker feel, but it *always* felt truer to real life than BTVS did because of that, because they dared to establish very human emotions and motivations amidst some crazy supernatural bullshit and managed to have most of it make sense and was a blast to watch! It's challenging to have *one* character go through a really gut-wrenching crisis of conscience in a series, but ATS has *dozens* of storylines like that, all going at once throughout the seasons. Damn, I have to go re-watch the whole thing now!

Watching Cordelia & Wesley 'grow' into different & stronger people... Watching Cordelia say goodbye to Angel for the last time.... I want an Angel movie, high budget videogame or a new spinoff series based on Gunn

2Good2BeTrue45 I respect your opinion but I have to disagree. Doyle was a very weak character. Perhaps it was because of the real life situation that was going on but the character had no development possibilities. I felt he was the weak link. I have to also disagree with the value of Wesley’s development to the series. Angel ( and Buffy) are strong characters but their story arc is written into the premise. “ The vampire with a soul” and “into every generation a slayer is born....” It is the secondary characters that made them great. Did you notice how Kate wasn’t even acknowledged in the interview. That was because she brought nothing to the show except to make it a run of the mill procedural. Wesley’s character was vitality important to the uniqueness of Angel. Cordy should have been but the writers ruined her. What would Buffy be without Willow, Xander, and Giles? Those developed nuanced characters made the shows cult classics. But that’s just my opinion. 😎

How have Alexis and Amy not aged whatsoever? They don't even look like they had any work done! They just look naturally youthful.

Plastic surgery never makes anyone look younger. It just makes them look fake. Because it is fake.

@@englishatheart When it's well done, a small amount of it does make people look younger. It's just rarely well done and people get addicted, get too much of it and then look like aliens. But like I said, they seem to have just naturally not aged at all in the last 20 years.

Some people just don't visually age quickly. I'm 31 and people frequently assume that I'm in high school. I recently saw two photos of me, taken a decade apart, and I look almost identical. It's probably largely genetics, but I help out by avoiding the sun/using sunscreen, not drinking or smoking, exercising regularly, and eating a healthy diet. It's actually problematic - I get no assumptions of professional competence. I have to overcome the assumption that I'm a kid whenever I meet someone. I'm starting a farm, and that's a hard crowd for a baby-face to hang with.
