This was Harry’s first single from his first solo album after One Direction. And a fun fact is that this is only the second time he performed this song, the first time not being fully happy with it, I think his cheeky smile throughout was his reaction to the fact that he was nailing every bit and the band was with him the whole way, what an accomplishment explanation this song deserved much more recognition and possibly a Grammy! Love me some Harry ❤. Keep going. Bridge- we don’t talk enough, we should open up, before it cost too much! Will we ever learn? We’ve been here before. It’s just what we are! Graham Norton show huge talk show in UK. Sarah is the amazing drummer! This band played with Harry on all his tours. He has been known to say it’s Sarah’s band he just sings! She’s married to Mitch Roland the long haired guitarist and the have two babies!❤✌️

@@colleen3546 I understand. But it’s not a competition. Who knows what when or how. Please forgive me that even though this has been a very special to me and to many since it dropped, I suffer from extreme hearing loss and although my hearing aids make a huge difference, often sounds run together and because I’ve always heard that word differently it’s not something I’ve ever taken the time to look up. And I don’t care if someone hears this song for the first time in 2017 or today, music is timeless, regardless of when anyone 1st heard or memorized lyrics.

yes that was his own band at the time. But this was 7 years ago so he had some changes over the years. The drummer Sarah and the guitarist Mitch are the only band members that have been consistent over the years but we're not sure if they'll be back when Harry realises a new album. But fun fact Mitch and Sarah actually met through Harry and they are married and have a child now 🤍

Yup, his debut album fresh out of One Direction was hailed the best album that year by Rolling Stones. He really came swinging out of the gate with this. He was also always expected to have a successful solo career given he was the most popular member of the group, also my favourite voice in the band

It’s wild to see Harry so young here. This was only his second live performance of his debut single (after having a not great SNL performance) and you can see in his palpable relief that he nailed it. There are so many better, more polished performances of this but the fans love this one because he hasn’t tried to sing the ending as full out since. The BBC Live version is the best IMO. Harry is an incredible vocalist and often even better live because he’s such a showman. You should watch Kiwi live from the Late show with James Corden. But for something newer, watch As it Was from night 1 of Coachella. Or Watermelon Sugar from the Grammys. You can see the star he has become.

Funny thing is that One Direction is not that far from this, especially their last few albums. They were dismissed as just a boy band but they were very rock based with a 70’s-80’s kind of sound. And they definitely didn’t dance!
