i like that at just under 11 minutes, this is going to be only the _3rd_ longest song on the album. 😅 deffo a trip down nostalgia lane. that being said, (if i'm being completely honest) lyrics seems a _little_ hollow, BUT (based on the track listing) it seems like it could be sort of a bit of a concept album (but not necessarily a story album) , so i'm expecting the rest of the album to help flesh it out (kinda sorta like with _6 Degrees_ ... but that's pure conjecture on my part). Dream Theater was actually my 2nd concert, the summer after i graduated high school -- _Images and Words_ , we were all the way against the stage directly in front of Petrucci (and could literally touch the speaker .... took 2 weeks to get all my hearing back) -- he even reached his guitar out for some of us strum it 😎🤩 and since you only saw them with Mangini .... Portnoy is THE "hype guy" on stage -- his energy pours out of him as he works the crowd in a way that carries the whole band. iirc, Portnoy has had the triple-kick for 20ish years .... don't ask how he plays all 3 -- i'll leave that to your imagination 😂🤫🙈🙉🙊 (lol, j/k 😉😂)
