Dimash is just great, isn't he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash wanted a prayer for the world, so he called up Igor Krutoy and this is the magic they made. A Christian hymn, composed by a Jewish man, and sung by a Muslim man. Truly, a prayer for the world “Ave Maria” is a variation adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note. At the end, the advanced vocal technique: “Messa Di Voce “ (from Italian Bel Canto technique) at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Swell, increase and decrease the volume but don’t change the pitch, it is extremely difficult and only pro vocalists with years of training can do it. Singing on whistle and super head voice with SOFT SOUND IS SO HARD TO DO, harder than loud whistle note!

Along with Dimash and Angelina, another prodigy trained from early childhood is Diana Ankudinova, "Queen of Goosebumps," dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones,(Can't Help Falling In Love). Also Wicked Game, Derniere Danse, Crow. And Rechenka (little river), comprised of Russian folk tales about an orphan who's being given away in marriage to the unloved. More poignant due to Diana's backstory: beaten, abused and nearly killed by her birth mother, abandoned at a bus stop in winter with a broken collarbone, brought to an orphanage speechless at 3 1/2, learned to sing as speech therapy, and adopted by a loving family. Twice won "You Are Super" contest for abused / underprivileged children, largely underwritten by famous composer Igor Krutoy (came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash), who later bought an apartment in Moscow for her forever family and secured a spot at university to continue her musical studies and vocal training. If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for! I would invite you to react to the fellow passenger of the alien spacecraft which deposited Dimash upon the earth. Diana Ankudinova is a young (now 21?) Russian singer who has a huge and loyal following. She has the most unusual, spellbinding, goosebump inducing, amazing, and charismatic voice of any female. I would suggest starting with "Cant Help Falling in Love" which she performed on a Russian TV competition show. Also Rechenka (age 14), Wicked Game (15), Human, The Crow, Blizzard, along with some of her more recent original stuff, including a symphonic concert that covered the works of Hans Zimmer (Diana did 2 songs, suggest Dune theme). She has a page KZbin where you can access her performances, and maybe avoid as much efffort to avoid copyright strikes (you will still probably need to pause some, and put a disclaimer over the video....the Russian TV shows are very protective. It has the name because it is still meant to be a pray- a wordless prayer that can word for someone of any faith. But it is NOT a reimagining the schubert classic- which was far from the first ave maria btw.
