Linkin park the most versatile band ever, from hard rock to rap rock to nu metal to pop and electronic to experimental like no band has ever done that.....I have no words to describe their talent. Just feel blessed to hear music from such great people and have the ability to recognize their talent. Linkin park fan since i first heard them, they brought me into music.

As far as I can remember, I was always way more into rock and metal than hip-hop, but something about this version has always hit me harder than the original. Ever since I discovered it in 2009 this was my favorite Linkin Park song, and I show it to very few people because they always think the original is better. Yet, it’s always held a special place in my heart and it always will.
@willlauzon37447 ай бұрын
I believe this version is better, reanimation was my first LP album but I had heard all their tracks before I bought it. I remember this album getting some flak from my friends at the time because they "just released the same album" but I was adamant that it was justified and in some cases better. This song is one of those examples.

They say there are 5 stages of grief in the wake of losing someone. 1. Denial 2. Anger 3. Depression 4. Repression 5. Acceptance I find myself now brutally stuck between denial and depression, with the only acceptance being that I will make Chester proud. And I'm more than willing to support those who need the help that he didn't get. R.I.P. Chester Bennington. You changed my life at the cost of your own.

Lyrics Hey, yo When this first started off It was just Linkin Park And then in the middle Came Motion Man And at the end of it all It was Kutmasta Kurt With a remix [Mike Shinoda:] One thing, I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme when I was obsessed with time All I know, time was just slipping away And I watched it count down to the end of the day Watched it watch me and the words that I say The echo of the clock rhythm in my veins I know that I didn't look out below When I watched the time go right out the window Trying to grab hold Trying not to watch I wasted it all on the hands of the clock But in the end, no matter what I pretend The journey is more important than the end or the start And what it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I tried so hard [Chester:] I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter [Motion Man:] Hey, yo One thing, I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind I designed this rhyme to explain in due time All I know, hah, I so-socialize Like the host of the party I spoke, shake, and made eye contact Partied and toast strong, all night Northeast, Southwest coast I'm staring out the window No oppourtunity to mingle I tried to sew it up to weaken your system I had you throwing up I brought you back into things Like the imaginary man of your dreams You’d always seem to make it worth it I pig-skin, I never nerf it You felt like loving, never played real I’m bringing the pleasure By any means it means I’m leaving your team Hell of a team, man it seems I tried so hard [Chester:] I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter [Kutmasta Kurt (scratching):] Linkin Park Remix Motion Man Linkin Park In the end Kutmasta Kurt Linkin Park Remix Motion Man Linkin Park In the end Kutmasta Kurt Remix [Mike Shinoda:] One thing, I don't know how It doesn't even matter when you look at it now 'Cause when I designed this rhyme I was scared of it all, scared to fall, and I hadn't even tried to crawl But I was forced to run with you mocking me, stopping me, backstabbing me constantly Remembering all the times you fought with me Watch the clock now chock-full of hypocrisy But now your mouth wishes it could inhale Every single little thing you said to make things fail Every single word you sputtered just to get your piece But it really doesn't matter to me 'Cause from the start to the end, no matter what I pretend The journey is more important than the end or the start And what it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I tried so hard [Chester:] I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter

Had the Reanimation album on repeat growing up. Masterful work and just insanely creative and amazing versions of already incredible songs.
@NickTasy6 жыл бұрын
Reanimation is such an amazing album. Every song is just great and worth listening to from start to finish. Hell I've even listened to demos for some of Reanimation's tracks before. Imagine if they'd done the same for Meteora. I wish they had....
@denizece36726 жыл бұрын
They totally should have done that. What if the next album was something like Reanimation but it has remixes with all their top hits from the last years? That would be amazing. Mike is still a killer producer, he can pull that off.
@NickTasy6 жыл бұрын
Deniz Ece Wouldn't be bad. But at the same time some of the tracks in Reanitmation had redone lyrics that Chester sang, so that would be a problem if Mike really wanted to alter the lyrics to some. Have you ever listened to their demos? There are tons of hidden gems that never made the final cut. I actually compiled them all into a playlist for my own enjoyment, which you can find on my channel. Frankly I think that's what they should do; release an album entirely of demos. Of course that's sort of what the LPU does, but then again not everyone is a member of the LPU (myself included). I don't know that's just a thought. But I totally wish they had remixed Meteora instead of done that colab with Jay-Z, which btw I hated. Meteora is their best album in my opinion and with the remixing talents that showcased on Reanimation, a revamped Meteora would've been legendary
@denizece36726 жыл бұрын
Awesome, I just saw your playlist, I will check it out! To be quite honest, I unfortunately don't believe that LP will continue without Chester, so they might as well release it all maybe with some commentary audio in between the demos to share their thoughts and memories. I agree with you on Collision Course, it was just meh ESPECIALLY after hearing Reanimation (if I recall correctly there were just a 1-2 year gap between those albums, right? terrible in comparison :)). If it were for me, Mr. Workaholic Shinoda might as well remix everything, but Meteora has the best basis to work with since the rap influence was still in the songs back then.
@NickTasy6 жыл бұрын
Deniz Ece Deniz Ece Bummer to hear that that's what you think will happen to LP. Personally I think they'll continue, though it will be extremely difficult. I think once the weigh their options they'll find it wouldn't be right to end the band. It would crush the fans and it's not what Chester would've wanted. In regards to Collision Course I think it was 2004(?).
@denizece36726 жыл бұрын
Oh trust me, I want them to continue! :) But I would get it if they said that it's just not the same anymore without Chester. Whatever their decision might be, they will not stop making music, I think we all know that. :)
