I was one of the animators on this video back in 2002. It was a lot of fun to work on. Interesting fact: Most of the animators and effects artists who made Firefly worked on this video. In fact, we did the pilot for Firefly right before this, and then started on the series not long after it.

This used to play late at night on Cartoon Network as a filler in-between different shows. IIRC, I was a 4th or 5th grader at the time. CN didnt display credits (or maybe I missed them), so I had no clue who made the song. Fast-forward 6 years and in 10th grade, a friend at school burned a CD full of Linkin Park tunes for me. The moment I hit play on this one, I was transported back to my childhood. THIS song made sure I turned into a rock/metal head. RIP Chester Bennington and thanks for making my childhood awesome

The beat, Chester's voice, the rap, and this video completely blew me away, and ever since then I have been a massive fan. Breaking the Habit opened my eyes to the fact that I hadn’t been emotionally mature enough to relate to Linkin Park before that. It was a watershed moment for me. I have Borderline Personality Disorder and only after acknowledging that and working on it could I see how so many of their songs mapped directly onto large portions of my life and my experiences. It breaks my heart knowing just how much pain and confusion and frustration and hopelessness Cheater felt in life 💔 I wish I could help everyone who’s like me but unfortunately a characteristic of the problem is frequently an inability to see yourself as you truly are - for better or for worse. Sadly he couldn’t see the good in himself and his potential. I hope with every fiber of my being that there’s more than this life and he was given the peace he couldn’t find here when he left us.

In a similar way, look at Johnny Cash's last album. He covers a very wide variety of genres- bringing people who haven't dabbled in "other styles of music".....together. Take "Hurt" for example- all the people who never/would not willingly listen to NIN, were suddenly exposed to something that they could relate to and took the chance to listen to more of Trent's music. I think if someone were to release a cover album of HT- in a completely different format, it would draw even more people to the LP fan base.

@chazy1234 жыл бұрын
@@revilhunter I don't think so, this is computer generated (CGI) which has nothing to do with filming. The original release video was probably rendered at 240p and now with the original project they probably just re-rendered it at 1080p. Now, with most old movies they used 35mm film which depending on the lines per mm the film was rated at, they could contain enough detail and information for more than 4k resolution images (some even 8k and probably a few capable of 16k), so it was just a matter of developing/digitizing it. For example, by playing a 4k video in a 1080p display, the display physically lacks the necessary pixels to draw all of them. Except back then the analog/digital videos were so low res that the displays had to duplicate pixels to fill the screen (which still happens today, except it's way less noticeable due to enough pixels/info).

Haley Wilson yeah, I know what you mean. I listened to their music a lot and watched a few of their videos, but until recently I had no idea just how many vids they had made. Seems like at least half of their songs have a video made with them; much more extensively than most groups/artists who think that one or two vids per album is plenty.

Man, Chester, today's such a sad day now. I was just listening to this song with my little brother a couple days ago. He showed me you in Good Mythical Morning and asked me about a song that would play on Cartoon Network. I immediately knew what he was talking about and we jammed out to this and many of your other songs for the rest of the day. Your music has been a major part of my life ever since I first heard Crawling back when I was in Middle School, and I don't think I've ever made a single friend who wasn't a fan of your music. You perfectly express all the feelings and struggles that each of us have. I just can't handle it, we lost Chris Cornell, Chi (Deftones), and Kei (Pay money to My Pain), and many other amazing people who continue to give people hope and inspiration. Your voice and message will always live on, but you'll still be forever missed. Thank you for sharing your feelings and pain with us, and I hope you've found peace now.

The song perfectly describes my struggles with my parents, me always trying to please them while they take pleasure in the awful things they've put me through, in their endless effort to re establish their points of authority over me. And now after all of it, I am only left with negativity and a broken pride.
