I'm a North Indian and Robot was one of my favorite movies growing up since childhood and I still love them movie. The fact that these people consider themselves as superior just because they come from watching American cinema which has 10 times more the budget we could afford and just insulting it in every possible way is just too hurtful. They can never even reach the dust of Rajnikant or Shankar sir's creativity and success level and talking about the movie like they've won Oscars or something

Even the Russo brother's liked this movie and was supposed to got inspired from the climax multiple robot forming a huge robot for Avengers age of Ultron climax but it seems extra for him. Besides that his moral arguments are fucking borderline retarded . If he had ever had a proper debate or even a small argument in a questionaire with a good intellectual about morality , his social and cultural opinions , he would definitely be on one of those got destroyed and humiliated video compilations , that's how dumb and intellectually inferior he is . Also remember the Neelam vaanam song reaction he was so upset with pregnant woman dying that he completely forgot the point of the video which korbyn was trying to emphasis by saying that is what made the video great and impactful . That's how impulsive he is , him and his egoistic altruism . Korbyn might some times go overboard with his playfulness and joking commentaries but he is still matured enough to enjoy and see other people's points . Rick will say why are taking his opinions more seriously about mere movies and other media while he himself get mad about things related to it . He is a ridiculous person who takes his level of intellect more seriously than it truly is . Another example would be nanum rowdy thaan , a silly rom com movie a fucking comedy , he was stuck up with his moral qualms regarding vjs hiding nayantharas dads death from and the excuse he gave for it he wasnt enjoying the movie after that , while he loved many outright murders and massacres worse than that , also for an example he found Samantha cheating on her husband with a guy who dies and then the couple tries to dispose the body , laughing at a child's mother proudly on blue films etcetc just because he supports lgbtq and the movie has a trans in it . That's how shamelessly hypocritical and double standards . The level of cognitive dissonance is high on that fellow . I think jaby's channel is well balanced and reasonable than this guy . If one wants anyone can't nit pick and absolutely ridicule most movies and the logic in them including the movies he loves . This guy loves jailer and petta than this 🙄. Yeah, I don’t think popcorn movies are for u guys really and that is sad. I mean if you can’t appreciate this side of filmmaking which is blockbuster filmmaking then idk man. As much as there is space for artsy and “realistic” movies, there is equal space for this. Your definition of balls to the wall action movies is different from how Indians do their balls to the walls action movie. Yeah it’s gonna be absurd, strange but it’s coherent in its soul and structure of the movie especially with Shankar movies. At the centre of this movie is a hypothetical situation of a robot falling in love with a human. It’s about consequences of that. I mean it’s more about the robot, it’s development and it’s character arc which is why it’s called “Enthiran” but the centre of it is this odd love story. Masala filmmaking is all about mixing genres and this does that with mixing serious drama, wth great action sequences and just a lot of fun elements. You guys weren’t built for this. I really don’t think you should do watchalongs for movies of this realm. Unless you’re Indian, it’s gonna take forever to appreciate this.

at that time it was totally new for us from an Indian language movie while they were watching better movies like Jurassic park,jaws, even terminator with better vfx. Enthiran is a movie with cringey dialogues and even cringier comedy. Like it's a sci fi movie with unconvincing vfx with subpar slapstick comedy.thats the problem. The only thing going for this movie is good music and its cultural importance to us indians. Especially south indians. Dude don't close your eyes and delude urself that it's a bad movie. I mean the robot talking to mosquitos or many other absurdities. I don't even think it's a good popcorn flick. If u think it's a balls to walls action film I feel sad for u. I’m pretty sure I noticed the unconvincing VFX at the age of 10 when I saw this in the theatres 🙄. I notice it now but it’s endearing to me. Yeah better choices could’ve been made with certain characters like the two scientists characters in the side. But they brought so much fun and laughs if not anything else and it’s more than enough for me in a movie like this cuz they don’t impact the movie so much. The absurdities come from the fact that this robot is capable of anything including feelings in the second half so that argument was over long ago. And I don’t even know what a balls to walls action movie is at this point cuz it seems like a throwaway phrase. Blockbuster filmmaking is different in Indians from the whole world. Masala filmmaking is something hard for someone outside of Indian to understand cuz they’re cinema watching sensibilities are different. I wonder what your popcorn flick would be whether it’s movies like Mirror or some David Lynch movie or some Ingmar Bergman movie. And I’ve seen them all and I enjoy most them so u can’t come back at me for it.

@@WhatTheMutton a guy ritchie movie. Even a michael bay movie. Or an anurag basu movie can be a good popcorn flick for me personally. There are many others. Am not complaining about the vfx perse. It was the best our industry could do at that time. And it inspired a lot of people in that sense. The movie is close to us because of the cultural significance at that point of time in our cinemas evolution. The problem of a masla movie I guess if not done “coherently” is that it appears to be a mess. Quick incongruent tonal shifts between being serious, preachy, slapstick comedy, heroism, melodrama and over the top sequences brings u out of the concepy of movie and makes u watch a series of scenes. atleast for me personally. A robot catching human emotions is a not a new thing or idea. Its been there since 1980s. And its acceptable becoz emotions are intangible and personal.its abstract in that sense. But when a robot is doing stuff that no robot in any universe can do.Now if it was explained as an alien maybe many things that chitti did could be explained that way. Here every thing chitti did is explained with magnetism and magnetism doesnt even work that way. All these things brings u out of the movie a bit. The flaws are too much that u stop caring for the movie as a movie and u just watch it for its scenes. And maybe its nostalgic factor. Ps: maybe its just my fault that i am thinking this way because i need a valid explanation even for fantastical stuff. Ironman suit is pure fantasy but they had a proper explanation for it. For every working part. Krish worked because they explained and set up things well. I cringed at the motorcycle lifting scene from rrr when i saw the trailer. But in watching the movie they provided a connection and story line and set the movie in such a world where they two were almost demigod level power.

Sujatha used to write dialogues for most Shankar movies , Here Sujatha wrote the first half but passed before completing the script so Shankar with the help of Madhan Karky finished the script.

I understand its not a movie for everyone (Back in the day, it was.), but rick from the start of the movie had a grumpy face. When you are watching a 13 yr old movie, you gotta consider it wont be the same as its now. Now its all specific genre type films with one linear screenplay, but back then we had masala movies which had different tracks which included all Comedy, Romance, Action, Thriller, Fiction, with lots of creative liberty taken. I watched the full reaction and Rick is even mocking the way rajini speaks english and when the camera got close to Rajini (we can visually see the disgust on ricks face). How low is that from rick??? He isnt even giving the screenplay its time to reveal itself. When Chiti got emotions, and he met Dr bora and Rick immediately jumped on the movie that now everything changes and he will accept the robot. Guys Watch the damn movie first. It had a different track, like they arent even giving the movie time before saying stup1d sh1t. and cant forget the obnoxious laugh every 2 minutes, for even a tiny silly instances. When you are watching movies from other parts of the world you have to be at least a tiny bit open to it. I also Understand that the dialogue delivery were Cringy at times(Like the mosquito sequence) but that doesnt warrant Rick to give such UgIy disgusting faces (Coming from a guy who watched the entire reaction on patreon). At the end, Rajni as the villain Played the character extraordinary well. He has that uncanny, scary look when he acts serious. This can be tracked back to his early days where he started as a villain. No credit given to the good parts of the movie expect as korbin said, it was so bad that it was laughable. Yes that was the only major good thing these two have about the movie.

No matter what anyone says about this film I love enthiran ❤️❤️🔥🔥 Yeah I understand most dialogues and some comedy didn't age well at all. But the creativity and the heart in the film was absolutely amazing especially during that time and the music was way ahead of its time ❤🔥 AR Rahman killed it with the music. It is legendary and deserved all the awards. Both Shankar and Rajamouli are the visionaries of Indian cinema. But one thing Rajamouli does better than Shankar is in the emotional connect. And there will be very less cringey dialogues or bad comedy in his films because all his films are written by his father who is a great writer. I have seen many films in various languages to say this that no other director would have had the pressure to make their Dream film like Shankar had with this movie. Rajinikanth is the Superstar of South India. You might think there was less Rajinikanth show in this film but bro with Chitti it was all Rajinikanth show and a lot of fan service to his fans in between and references you can't even understand. He somehow managed to make a Indian desi robo movie. And a lot of comedy scenes that you didn't connect with were actually tailor made for the normal audience in Tamil Nadu in order to make the film relatable to them or else they wouldn't be interested to see something so different than they actually see especially with Superstar Rajinikanth in it. Poor and normal people in Tamilnadu or many parts of India live in a completely different world than us. Their likes and dislikes and understanding of a film is very simple and plain not very complicated. So this film targets every audience in that regard. Did Christopher Nolan made his films like Interstellar and Inception for the common audience no. He is showing what he wants us to see and he has complete freedom over it just like every other director in Hollywood and many parts of the world. But here in India many directors show us what we want to see which is even divided among us like one scene may attract more towards movie enthusiast or other for family audience and other for poor and normal people and that's exactly what happened in this movie in most parts. It's like a comic book film with a lot of fan service which is targeted towards all types of audience in India.
