This is one of my favourite games for the PS2. It's criminally underrated. The soundtrack is superb and the handling is years ahead of every other game of the era! Those who compare it to Gran Turismo 4 and say it's just a cheap copy-paste should give it a try. Enthusia has its own essence and feels like a totally different experience. I thank my parents for buying me this hidden gem. I hope you'll make some videos of this game, XTG. And Merry Christmas!

This game had so much potential, just needed a story mode. The physics weren't bad, it was more realistic in regards to body roll etc... Playing on the controller wasn't that hard, a learning curve yes, but not impossible.

Game was overlooked. Too bad, since it had much superior driving model and sound design than GT4. Granted, it lacked the overall presentation of GT Mode and huge variety of tracks and cars, but the driving was super fun.

I think the thing that kills this game's potential is the lack of licensed tracks. I mean GT4 didn't have a massive range of licensed tracks either, but more than this.

More tracks also would not have hurt, either, as in both music tracks AND actual courses. Actual adjustable settings for the parts of the car would also not have been a bad idea. More vehicles would have also been welcome.

This was better than Gran Turismo 4. Full stop. GT4 had dominant understeer everywhere. Enthusia modeled back-heavy cars and lift-off oversteer much, much better.

The modelling surpasses the Gran Turismo 4 models. Take a look at the Mazda 787B for example, the wipers are actually modelled instead of being an image. (Although having an image let PD create that animation where the wipers moves when the car is going too fast)

The choices of cars are very interesting, from the BMW M1 to a Land Cruiser. It's very detailed too, actually better than the GT4. The colors is a bit dull and greyish though, I might play this.

I love GT4 but I like way more this car selection, specially the beetle. I understand the historical importance of the first beetle (that appears in GT4) but I think the 70s models (wich I think it's the one fetured in Ethusia) are way more respresentative and should have been in GT4 instead of the more dark and boring 49' model. The same goes for the 2CV.

If you are talking about the Exxon stickers. I’m pretty sure they had to change it because esso wasn’t in the us or something. So they used Exxon instead. Please correct me if I’m wrong I’m not too sure about this

1. Konami is a console oriented guy back at ps1/ ps2 (since at that time konami and almost jp developer also had relationship with jp console such as Nintendo and sure Sony) then until they become a multiplats in ps3 / x360 era and terribly mobile and pachinko oriented nowaday 2. License bro (beetween exclusivity license to another game like porsche with EA or simply couldn't pay for the license fee since lambo and ferrari brand is freaking expensive), even GT4 at that time didn't have both lambo and Ferrari 3. The underpowerd sales performance of this game in the market, no decent marketing that made people even didn't know that this game was ever existed back then, and overshadowed by Gran Turismo (heck even people sterotypize this game as SHAMELESS GT CLONE) made this game didn't have sequel So what, i hope this would help you :)

@@brokenhearth1826 Well, ik this is old but Lamborghini did appear in the Japanese version in GT3 A spec albeit restricted to a Diablo race car but made its full debut in Gran Turismo PSP in 2009 with its first console debut being Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3. Another thing worth mentioning that during the PS2 era, Lamborghini only appeared in games revolving around illegal street racing as far as ik like Nfs Most Wanted 2005 & Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition. Also even though GT4 didn't have Lamborghini, at least they had Cizeta as a workaround which unfortunately EPR didn't. I love this game but it would've been cooler if the game featured Italian supercars rather than only hatchbacks & 4 cylinder sports cars. The EB110 is the closest you can get to a Lamborghini in this game.
