As an e24 owner myself, that close call with the deer was gut wrenching and I wasn't even behind the wheel. I've had an e30 totaled that way. Absolutely pristine car inside and out, and bmw brakes definitely working as they should. Always awesome to hear a nicely working m88, among the best sounding engines bmw has ever made in my opinion.

I have a stock 1985 M653CSI as well. My rear spoiler it different though. It has just a black lip. Mine is 100% original. I'm even still using the rare metric BBS Michelin TRX tires and wheels. Mine is Alpine white/black

Euro bumpers, M88/3 engine, e24 shark...just stunning. It's the bucket list/lottery dream shark. Staggered Aplinas would be the only thing I'd add. Wow...its legacy was almost ended by that deer...on camera. Note to self: Don't drive at dusk unless absolutely necessary.

Didn't 'treally go into what makes these euro m635 so special like it has the M88/3 engine which was the most powerful 1st gen M motor and has 30hp more than the S38 in the M6. It also weighs 3307lbs vs 3569lbs for the M6. Has factory headers and bilstein shocks and shorter firmer springs with no self leveling and wheel arch flares. Most people see the M badge and think it is a regular 635 with a fake M badge. This is the most powerful e24 made.

Yes, it is all that and more! To be more accurate however, the most powerful E24 "made" in-period would have been the Alpina B7S Turbo. That said, it's fair to say this is the highest performing E24 produced by BMW M in the hay-day! They are marvelous to drive without a doubt!

Part of your statement is incorrect. Wheel arches flares were NOT installed on all M635CSi. They were installed with a specific wheel size option available, so many M635CSi have no wheel arches.

Wow man this is beautiful e24 m my ultimate favorite, beautiful car lower production numbers then the E30 m3 and e28 m. It hurts seeing the prices go up at the rate it is lol but well deserved I’m guessing 120k +. Oh and that deer man near miss to bad for my boxers and pants I crapped myself

Only thing that says this is a 5k mile car is the meter on the dash. leather looks used on seats wheel and shifter. that doesnt happen after 5k miles

They were required during the 1985 Federalization process performed legally allowing this Euro-Spec M635CSi into the USA market. They were required to pass DOT requirements in-period and part of this and many other grey-market E24's story if imported legitimately.
