Many of you have asked me to film more videos that are all in Spanish. So here's the first! I'd love to hear what you think. Let me know what you prefer, and if you have any suggestions on how my videos could be more useful to you. I will probably stick to English for topics where I think explaining from an English speaker's point of view is helpful (like grammar or pronunciation). But for videos like these, I'm thinking I'll do them in Spanish. Thanks for watching! - Connor

I liked that video a lot. And I really liked that it doesn't have automatic subtitles. I am still struggling with comprehension a lot . And more often or not I give up, in particular after a stressful day. 😕 I could follow along just fine and though I didn't understand every word or phrase, I got the gist of it. Thank you.

I always thought comprehension was the common problem. Once again I just got back from Mexico for 2 months there and I feel that I’m still struggling to understand what they say to me. And yet I speak a lot so they think oh I’ll talk and he’ll understand. Not.
@BreakthroughSpanish7 ай бұрын
Comprehension is a challenge for everyone too. It takes a long time to get used to the sounds of a new language. But usually at some point, you’re able to understand more than you can say (in large part since our passive vocabularies are always bigger than our active ones). For some people this happens sooner, and for others it comes later

I will try to add some when I have a chance, but in the meantime KZbin's auto-translated captions are pretty good

What specific country/region did you learn Spanish from? Like is your Spanish based on Spanish from Spain, Colombia…?
@BreakthroughSpanish8 ай бұрын
The country I've spent the most time in is Chile, but my Spanish in these videos doesn't sound very Chilean since I try to speak as clearly and neutrally as I can.
