Entire cow herd calving flyover at Chandler Herefords

It is calving season again. This is a drone flight of feeding and our entire cowherd from end to end. It was a beautiful day for a flight. Notice that the truck is being operated remotely. My father George designed and built the system. We have the same system on all of our ranch pickups. It is easy to install. It reduces the amount of manpower needed to feed. I can provide all information necessary to build your very own remote steering on your own pickup or large truck.

Love to see happy animals kept in a very good environment, landscape and so well taken care of. Your cows are happy and it shows. I know it is hard work and long hours, looks easy but it`s not. From a British perspective, wow that field is huge! I like the way the cows still have time to do cow things even though there is all that food up for grabs, as push each other out the way, get into peer fights, run after the unloading truck. I'm fascinated to see the lead cows run after the truck, what are they hoping to get, they've already walked past a lot of fresh food.

What a beautiful herd. I am looking forward to seeing all the babies. Even though we were a dairy farm we always had a couple of Herefords that we'd raise a couple of calves from. How many head of cattle do you guys have and acres?

550 mother cows running on 1100 acres of hay meadows and 1500 acres of pasture ground. Our property is almost fully irrigated from the Powder River which is supplied by a reservoir that is in the back of the mountains you can see in the video.

The video is taken in the spring before the grass starts to grow. Eastern Oregon is high desert country. Grass is short but full of nutrients. Winters are long and summers short..

A properly marked hereford has a white strip to where their shoulders are and a white underline.
