So Final Fantasy is basically Gods being dicks/Some random powerthing being misused + evil guy wanting to blow up the world + a party of weird-haired people that stop plan but only three or four of them can be on the battlefield at any one time with absolute no consistency between the games except the mechanics and a few exceptions. Like honestly Square Enix, how many of these games come out until the ACTUAL Final Fantasy happens.

Christoph Sedaka Materia, mako, or whatever magic you take from the LifeStream, doesn't really leave the cycle permanently, even the bit expended as rocket fuel will eventually make it's way back to the planet, it's only when the use massive amounts at one time that you have problems, or when it gets exported off-planet like with Jenova. Edit: You also have to remember, that any injury to the planet, also pulls resources from the lifestream, so a massive reactor exploding, was probably responsible for the death of a forest somewhere else.

In the not so distant future, humanity comes across the Traveller, a huge orb entity that protects races of sentient life forms from the Darkness. War breaks out as the Darkness makes its way to Earth and only one city is left standing with the now dead Traveller hovering above it. When it died it released little AIs called Ghosts to resurrect long dead people and give them powers to combat the Darkness. These people are called the Guardians and spend the next year destroying the forces of Darkness, including a Time-Warping Vex Minotaur, a Hive Prince, the Kell of all Fallen Kells, and dozens of high-ranking commanders of the Darkness. thecarnagereport115 Lets not forget there's a good century or so between the traveler's death and when the character's ghost finds them. In between the traveler's death and the character's resurrection we have shit like Dredgen Yor with Thorn, the Battle of Twilight Gap and the creation of the Gjallarhorn by Feizel Crux, the Iron Lords sealing SIVA away in their attempt to destroy it at the cost of their own lives with only Saladin surviving, a few things that caused all but 1 of the towers to be lost or at least to stop being used (one of which we know the story for, Bannerfall, which involved one group (New Monarchy I think) plotting against the high council or whatever), and a few other things as well if I'm not mistaking. All of which is talked about in game at one point or another (except Dredgen Yor and Thorn, I think that's the one thing that isn't directly talked about).

Not Quite Dovahkiin youre gonna base hair color around if a character was well written or not? haha each one couldn't have been more different, Lightning was this military bad ass, Snow was a hopeful leader, Hope was a scared 15 year old who had lost his mother to this huge conflict and tries to find peace, Vanille hides a lot of her pain behind a smile, Fang is a over protective mother figure to the group and Sahz was trying to save his son literally only 1 character has pink hair lol, Snow's hair is blonde, hopes is silver, fangs is brown, sahz's is black, Vanille is red, lightning's is pink. Also, they werent even suppose to be friends, they're a group of very different strangers forced to work together or else they'd die on their own. hate the game play if you want but the characters and their personalities were perfect, such a diverse group of people instead of just the typical JRP "emo guy with spiky hair and massive sword saves the day"

There was a rumor that FF 10 was a prequel to FF 7. It was semi confirmed in an official guide book by one of the developers. If you take that one developer's word that is. FF13 and FF15 were suppose to share the same gods and shards and be symbolically apart of each other but that got scrapped due to internal management conflicts. Only the barest traces remain.

That Shinra from 10 is just a cameo , similar to Wedge or Cid. But it's true regarding to FF13 , Versus13 and Type-0 , everyone of them were designed to be from Nova Fabula Crystallis , it''s just in different planet , but it was the same gods. FF15 scrapped that , but many inspirations from it's Crystallis' root is visible: the Astral is the gods and the eidolon in one , Kings of Yore in essencially L'Cie , the messengers were Fal'Cie.
