Love black opium. Very new to me. But in my area, nobody wears black opium so I dont have that kind of association that you have. Very pleasant to wear for me. Easy grab and go perfume

When it comes to testing longevity, I wonder if we could establish a spray pattern / skin location / number of sprays to keep the test more fair across brands. Of course, we who are deep in this game will still buy fragrances we fall in love with, no matter how long it lasts. For me, it's all about applying it. When I choose one to wear, I spray until I feel it's enough for the occasion.

I LOVE Libre. I have bottles of the EDT and Intense. The only reason I don’t have the original EDP is because I have a few perfume samples but I know I’ll end up getting a full bottle soon. It’s worth having the EDT for me because I live in TX and it performs so nicely in the heat, never gets cloying. I don’t have a huge perfume collection so I never envisioned having all versions of a particular fragrance but here I am. 🙃

My favourite YSLs are vintage Paris and Opium. I'm of that generation who likes big, bold fragrances 👌. I recently decluttered Black Opium but Manifesto L'Elixir is great for the autumn 🍂🍁

My favourite is YSL Libre Intense and Mon Paris Intensement. A very long time ago I loved YSL Opium, Champagne (renamed Yvresse with a new bottle), Elle, and Baby Doll. I know they smelled vintage nowadays but back then they smelled beautiful and elegant. YSL Opium was exotic smelling (Middle Eastern vibe scent). The first of its kind in North America, groundbreaking at the time. A lot of YSL perfumes back then had a lot of similarity to Dior perfumes which I adore too. Thank you, Yanna for this YSL perfume video! ❤️

I'm SOOO glad you said this (libre) has a masculine touch cause i LOVE this and i'm a dude. I was thinking of something to buy a female and honestly, i love this so much. And i actually thought after smelling it all night, I, as a dude, could try and rock it. Someday when i have disposable income i might go for it and try to rock it.

Have you done a review of YSL ‘Cinema’? Difficult to get find these days, but don’t think it’s discontinued. I won a set of Cinema when it was launched years ago and I remember it being a great scent!

Loving your fragrance reviews and unapologetic criticism. Your frenemy, Black Opium, is like that toxic friend that I dropped years ago. I had the EDP, loved it initially but couldn’t stay the course. The YSL Libre collection has stolen my heart along with Mon Guerlain flankers.

I’m a huge fan of Opium & Libré. I have the EDP and Intense of Libré, EDT EDP and a vintage bottle of Opium. I really love that vintage opulence Opium has in the atmosphere when you wear it. I feel like the fancy ladies in my family going to their elaborate parties from my childhood. Great video!

Hi Yana, I came across this video cuz I was lucky enough to find manifesto today!(I had it a few years back) At a shoppers drug Mart, I absolutely love it, I have the elixir but the original is just like you say it's like a warm cozy sweater! The Libre fragrances just smell like Tide laundry detergent to me🤷

I bought the Le Parfum of Libre yesterday (a new one in the line) and its also amazing! I already had the eau de toilette and the eau de parfum and if i have 2 choose between the 3 of them, i would go for the Le parfum but its a close call 2 the eau de parfum💛 So now i only wanna buy the intense one.. I dont know what it is but this Libre line is so amazing 2 my nose 🌼🧡 can't get enough of iT!!

I just bought Manifesto based on your recommendation and I was underwhelmed. It didn't even last a good amount of time in comparison with other YSL fragrances. I will keep it and wear it but definitely a pass for me. Now the Libre's were also recommended by you and I LOVE THEM BOTH! So so gorgeous!

I have the original. It is a stunner! I smelled the edt and don’t like it. The intense however oh my gosh… I smelled it recently at the store and can’t get it out of my head. I might wait to finish my edp to get it but will see might get it sooner 🤭

No mon Paris? My favorite is the floral one it’s got a nice peach note. I can’t stand the original. Love libre edp. Loved black opium 5 years ago now I’m over it and sold it. Loved this round up.

People at work don't use perfume because they say they save it for a special occasion, in the meantime they smell like nothing or like smoke (yes some smoke yuck) I don't comprehend, really it doesn't compute.

I didn't like the 1st one but I'll try the intense. The lavender turned me off. I'll try to get a sample of the others or a travel size since I have alot of fragrance.

As a person who own black opium, I completely agree with you. I got it back when I turned 18 (legal drinking age in Sweden) and used it at the club and to parties so I mainly don’t like it anymore due to the connection to alcohol and some bad drinking experiences

I had never been a fan of Libre, it smelled a bit artificial like a vanilla men cologne, on me it wasn't so bad but after a while I couldn't even smell it, strange, the edt on the other hand is a beautiful summer fragrance and for edt it last a whole day on me.

Yana, I apologise for storming into your YSL theme, but I want you to know: if you ever run out of Fendi: Theorema, which you love, try Afnan Perfumes: Precious Gold EDP. I almost fell off my feet when I sniffed it half an hour ago 😱👀❗These two are twins ❗I have both, so I can compare them. Another "cousin" is Swiss Arabian Perfumes: Zahra EDP/CPO. Just beautifully blended, apricot-orange-rose jammy, dewy, autumny cosy, very feminine and elegant fragrance!

I just watched your vanilla video from a year ago and your right you gotta get past the opening of libre after that I loved it. Also, I was going through my samples and I sprayed Juliet not a perfume right after and wow that combo is amazing! I had a full bottle the big of black opinion and ended giving it to my mom lol. I had a sample of manifestó, finally got a full bottle, can’t wait to receive it!

Love the review! I super love Libre but also Black Opium is super subtle and doesn’t give me a headache. I don’t like intense or overwhelming scents. I think I have the EDP it’s a softer fragrance for me… I don’t go clubbing lol Mon Paris is very pretty for sure I have the original ❤ love YSL scents!

I seem to have a thing for discontinued perfumes because i LOVE Manifesto but that one is just a menory now :( I dont get why so many brands discontinues or reformulates the most loved and popular fragrences 🤷🏼‍♀️🤯

Me too! I was lucky to stock up on manifesto and manifesto l'eclat (which I actually slightly prefer). A lot of brands end up reformulating due to IFRA regulations on certain ingredients and some 'internal politics' like for example, a particular formulation belonging to X company and if a brand gets bought out by another then can no longer use the same 'recipe'

Alhough you would think that if someone buys a fragrence company the recipies would be included🤓 I discovered Manifesto when I was looking for a perfume that smells a bit like petrichor (one explanation when googeling is ”a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather”) Ive loved that smell for as long as i can remember, it is so invigorating! The lady at the store suggested Manifesto :) I dont know that it smells just like that but it is (was😔) so lovely🥰 And i also love Libre L'Absolu Platine, its so gorgeous!

I like the black opium extreme…. I hated the original. The original smells cheap and boring. I don’t think the extreme smells like the original, . the extreme flanker is much more interesting. I’ve never smelled the nuit Blanche or the intense but I bet I’d like those too.

Not the biggest fan of Cinema (just keeping the bottle for reference lol) I love Rive Gauche and Paris, but they are very vintage smells. I also do love Manifesto EdP (I gave away the Eclat and Elixir) As for Black Opium: try to layer it with Alien! 😃 I have to admit that I really fall for Elle- to me it’s a b**** boss perfume. 😀
