Story 1: Honestly, with everything told here, it really sounds like the parents would hate literally anybody the OP dates or gets with. They sound like the bitter parents that just want their kid to stay single for life if they don't find the partners themselves. If i were the OP, i would limit or cut contact with the parents here. They really are not worth the aggrevation, and i could see them making some sort of scene at the wedding. Story 2: If i were the OP i would be consulating an estate lawyer, and yesterday. It sounds like Charlie is doing everything possible to get anything and everything from the OPs dad here. Charlie sounds like a major scumbag and only wanting stuff he can get his greedy hands on. This is also a reason why you have your will updated often and stored in a very secure location, like a safety deposit box. I wouldnt have settled for anything here. I would continue to fight this. Story 3: OP isnt a jerk here, but i also wouldnt be stressing about this. It doesnt sound like Amy was a good person, much less a good roommate. I wouldnt want to go anywhere with her. I can see why Mary and Sarah moved out here. OP should be leaving too really. As for messaging them after.... maybe she shouldn't have done that, but OP still isnt a jerk. Story 4: Yeah i think its pretty obvious that this "friend" isn't your friend at all. She clearly only sees you for dollar signs... either you, your brother or the family. While its good she eventually she paid back, but i would be avoiding her in the future. Story 5: Yea, micromanaing bosses like John are the worst to work for. Good work ethic or not, bosses like him are still a pain. What is his deal with the sugar packets and the salt and pepper shakers? Thats not just micromanaging, but also super OCD. I can see why the OP and others would be frustrated and i would be wanting a new job.

As long as I get paid, I wouldn't care about going back for a touch more salt. 🤷‍♂️ Idk, a bit annoying, but it's not too bad if it's just the end of the shift table presentation focus. There are other jobs, and if it's minimum wage restaurant, no reason not to move on to the next one.
