Story 1: if the brother-in-law had been threatening me I guarantee you I would not take that lying down. If he wants to threaten me or heaven forbid attack me he's going to regret doing so and by the time I got done with him he'd be singing a far different tune and would be far more hesitant to pick a fight with me afterwards .

Story 1 - This kind of happened to me... So this thanksgiving I went to my dad's niece's house for thanksgiving. I went upstairs only to get bullied by the same 2 cousins. This happened for THREE YEARS! I was livid and as a result, went ballistic on them. I swore and yelled at them and flipped them both off when I left. Their reaction? Telling the mom. Now half of my extended family thinks it's my fault. Me and my parents are now in a predicament where if those two rats are at a family gathering, we can't be. Since then, I apologized to the mom for my yelling and she refused to acknowledge nor accept the apology, which is very childish. I have been no-contact with those certain people since.

Story 3: FIL is a major entitled jerk. "How dare you not consider changing your name so you can work for me!" WTF?
@Jermbot1510 ай бұрын
So Story 1 is unbelievable. Which I mean literally. I can believe that an entire family is paying a loser relative. I can believe that an entire family sides with the loser relative in regards to stolen money. What I find impossible to believe is that an entire family sides with someone who threatens everyone in the family multiple times.

Story 1: Bro, why did u give her any money expecting she would pay back? She doesn't have a job, how would she pay back even if she was nice and wanted to (wich she's not). U should expect that any cent you give her, youll never see that again
@jankokol981710 ай бұрын
The OP wrote that "they were doormats back then", so they caved-in to the demands of the SIL because they did not want to seem as being jerks. Ironically, they were going to be viewed as jerks by the extended family whether or not they gave the SIL money.

Last Story - It didn't sound at all like he was going to buy him a new car. Why would anybody ever assume that??? He's talking about the place where they get their cars from. For work. That means the place knows who they are, he can get a deal on a car because of that. None of that sounds like he's buying one for you.🤦♂️

That's crazy the family gets mad at you for your sister and brother-in-law being Jack wagons! You should tell the family all right well give me my money back and then y'all can deal with it since it's not that much money you shouldn't have that big of a problem giving it to me and then yeah
@johnnymcneal591410 ай бұрын
Yeah that's what I'd like to know you two do not have a job to begin with so how are you supposedly going to pay back money did you borrow
@QuickManEXE10 ай бұрын
Story 1: Okay, if this is how the SIL and the extended family are, then this says way more about them then it ever would about the OP. First off, the husband really needs to stop with the race and age card and stop being lazy. Second, the OP should've cut contact with the SIL after she kept constantly asking her money. Third, the OP should've called the police the moment the husband started threatening them. I dont know what country the OP is from, but im pretty sure threats like that are illegal almost worldwide. Fourth, why on earth would the OP give her a single cent after all that? You're really just asking for more issues and trouble. Fifth, is there any way that the OP can sue the SIL and the husband for breaking contract like that? I know its Europe, but there has to be some way to take them to court here, especially given his history. Sixth, there is absolutely no way that any of this is the OPs fault. The extended family is no better then the SIL and husband here, and if anything, they sound like total enablers. Just because the OP has money does not mean that they need to give any of it to the SIL... especially with everything that has happened. Seventh, the SIL stealing over 20000 from her own daughters college fund just makes all of this even worse. How can anybody remotely stand up for here after that? Well, at least the OP finally got the money back in the end, but i would've cut all contact with them and probably get a restraining order against them, especially the husband. He sounds like a complete loose cannon. Story 2: This is probably the funniest case of malicious compliance i've ever heard on this channel. Well done by everyone here. Story 3: OP is not a jerk at all and she definitely outed the in-laws, especially the FIL as massive jerks here. Who cares if you have a different or unique name? The mere fact that they would seriously suggest the OP change her name is a big jerk move, made even bigger by claiming that it would somehow harm his business or business contacts if she didnt change it. No wonder the OP didnt want to take the job, i wouldn't either. Good thing the OPs husband is on the OPs side here, and the in-laws can stay bitter and offended. Story 4: I dont think the OP or the CEO were jerks here.... just an honest misunderstanding by the OP here. It happens.

Hey am i the jerk for hating that my older sisters going to have a baby? This whole thing is happening in the usa and since im not comfortable sharing the state its happing i wont So basiclly now my older sister is going to have a baby but shes been such a jerk this whole time saying F YOU, YOU B, MOVE OUT OF THE WAY, and stuff like that shes changed me already and now at school ive just been really rude to people about some stuff if they be just BARELY annoying and her gender reveal party is happening today and shes been cleaning up and im sitting on my bed writing this cause i cant even do something ive been waitng all day for she already told me the gender so i dont want to be there, As of now i really hope she wont get worse but a few months back she litrally had a demonic sickness and for some reason i got scared cause she had a full headache a fever and all that and after all that she was just really rude. Even on christmas day she was mean to us and made us run around to grab her stuff and never appreciates it and it truly sucks! Also the thing ive been waiting to do is play on a meta quest 2 i know its not a big deal but im still absolutely PISSED
@JamesDavy200910 ай бұрын
My impression: ESH. Your older sister is either moody due to pregnancy hormones or is a straight up jerk. Hating your older sister for having a baby? You're likely hating on your sister for apparently encroaching where you feel safe; but if you take the blinders off you should feel happy that your sister is continuing your family's legacy. Pregnancy in Wackyland right now is a minefield and if your sister miscarries, she could be in a lot of legal and physical strife so please cut her some slack.
