It's not just dating. The job market is tough, too. I have my bachelor's in mechanical engineering, and I've been trying to get a job since 2019 in the field and have never been able to get one. Trying Cyber Security, but thats also been rough to get into as well. Now I've got $50k in student loans and I'll probably never pay that off since I can't get into any field I want. Political beliefs being turned into a "this means you are stupid and evil" means that they have a wrong priority. Most reasonable people know that judging people simply on their political beliefs without getting to know them or why they believe what they do is unreasonable. It doesn't help that her graph is meant for all women so she just assumes that a woman agree that her side is good and the other side is bad without any other thought.

@ the reason political beliefs have turned into such is specific to the US, due to one side being staunchly against women having rights and freedoms. Not all of them believe this, but enough of them. This is why that makes sense to be there. Also in a divisive place as the US is politically, that being a breaking point is very understandable as well. Friends, less so, but with a partner there is a need for a sort of solidarity and shared number of beliefs and ideas. Again it is a bit hasty to generalise it to all of them, but enough of them fall into it that it is accepted as fair.
