@bwill8873 күн бұрын
That is why they are not demanding a percentage of profit. Revenue is just the money coming in, not factoring in expenses. While I am not overly fond of ownership typically, this would massively degrade their profit for a league that is already losing money. I think this would be a short term gain that will ultimately doom the league, as no owner will want a business that drains their cash. Worse, a possible strike would kill any momentum the league has been gathering and would probably permanently doom the league.

Playing mediocre basketball, they awarded themselves ROTY, MVP, Double-Doubles and other awards that crossed their minds. Then, using that undervalued award, they proclaim themselves of high value. Then they shamelessly give each other the titles, The Legendary... The Great. In the WNBA, the medals and certificates awarded to these mediocre basketball players are as good as counterfeit dollar bill. That's the reason they do not attract viewers. The basketball fans know the fraud being pulled over their eyes. No amount of continuous attaching the title of "The Legendary" nor "The Great" will fool the basketball fans for they what they truly see as mediocre basketball players. Caitlin Clark verified and confirmed what the basketball fans already know about these mediocre players.

As much as these comments sicken me, I understand why they want more money and why that will not happen. Women are wired differently and as a fan of the W for the past 20 years, this season proved how pitty, kitty, and delusional some of them are. Instead of building their band on the rise of viewership, the majority focus on keeping one player down. At this point SCREW what you're making in the league at the moment and focus on capitalizing on it. Very few plays understand that and take full advantage of it. As Sophie Cunningham said in an interview. Stop the hate and celebrate the positive turn the W has made. At this point, the players are their worst enemies.

You get paid for the quality you bring, not your gender or race. Basketball and Football women just don't have the quality to earn salaries and live views. Except a few of them. Over paid is meant to describe when an employee is earning more than your contributions financially matter or are worth in your ability to help your employer make a profit Example is a employee who is general labor that does jobs like cleaning the facility and cutting grass making the same wage as a machinist making the actual products the company sells Point being that company actually makes enough money to be profitable The WNBA has not only NEVER had a single profitable season in 28 years it actually has lost 10s of millions every year of its existence WNBA players ARE NOT overpaid they are literally the equivalent of welfare recipients 100% financially supported by the NBA If not for the NBA willingness to literally GIVE the WNBA dozens of millions of dollars in charity every single year of its entire existence the WNBA would've NEVER lasted more than 2 POSSIBLY 3 seasons before going bankrupt and out of business This is a superlative example of socialism at its absolute maximum in that a group of people who can not earn a living for what they do DEMANDING to be not only supported by those that CAN earn a living for free, but be supported at a lifestyle nearly as lavish as those that are supporting them with 100% free money Basically the WNBA is the equivalent of a company that is still making 100k horse drawn carts a year forcing Ford (NBA) to buy them all

There is not a single successful business anywhere in the world that loses money every year, then gives their employees a raise. That is what the WNBA players are asking for. Which means that these "strong independent women" are asking for men/ NBA to give their failing business even more money so the players can get raises hahaha. It's a saf joke
